  1. If Monsour makes the right read on a soft liner to center, it would've been a scoreless inning.
  2. Pack grounds out to second as the Longhorns are retired in order in an eight-pitch first inning.
  3. Check-swing groundout to first by Tinney. Two down quickly in the bottom of the first.
  4. A first-pitch groundout to third by Robbins to lead off the bottom of the first for Texas.
  5. Harrison strikes out Milewski on his 41st pitch of the inning. It's a five-run, two-hit frame for the Bulldogs. Texas is in a hole early.
  6. It's a five-run first inning for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are still batting with two outs in the top of the first.
  7. Harrison's payoff pitch to Chance leaves the yards for a two-out grand slam.
  8. Harrison's third walk of the inning loads the bases with two outs. He's thrown 30 pitches this inning and there's activity in the bullpen.
  9. Didn't look like Monsour got a good read on that single to center by Parker. It's an RBI single that puts State up early, 1-0.
  10. Bevis draws a walk on a borderline payoff pitch. Two on, two down for State as Harrison crosses the 20-pitch mark for the inning.
  11. Not impressed with the Sunday crowd. Hoping the empty seats get filled.
  12. Love this from guys who play on or near the line of scrimmage. It’s a good sign of explosive athleticism.
  13. Luke Harrison is on the mound for Texas. State is going with Charlie Foster. A 6-4 sophomore lefty, he’s 0-2 with a 5.67 ERA in 13 appearances (eight starts), 33 hits and 21 earned runs allowed in 33.1 innings, 36 strikeouts and 17 walks.
  14. After yesterday's 7-4 loss to the Bulldogs, the Longhorns will go for the series win today at 1 p.m. The game is live on ESPN. If Texas wins and Auburn finishes a sweep of Texas A&M in College Station today, the Longhorns will be all alone in second place in the conference standings.
  15. Texas left 17 runners on base and ended the game 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Again, that's gross.
