    There used to be a requirement that at least freshman athletes live on campus. They were originally in Jester and then moved to San Jacinto when that dorm initially opened. Not sure where they are these days. I think living on campus is an important of college experience for all students if at all possible, including athletes. And with the mercenary nature of college football these days anything you can do to make them feel like more connected to the university would seem to be a good thing.

    Yeah the trope of actually paying attention to what happens to industries after PE gets involved or caring about anything other than maximizing shareholder profits at all costs.

    Looking forward to a 18 months from now when they sell it Saudi PIF fund, load it with debt from other random shady companies, and then burn the Utah football program to the ground.

    You'd think so but that would require the people involved and Penn State fans to be logical or reasonable, and we know that's not happening.

    Yeah definitely a big change compared to where he's been for a long time. That said, if it actually happens, I think he's a better coach than a lot of the other names bandied about for the position. Not sure that means he'll do any better than Franklin or finish any better than 4th in the Big 10 every year.

    So Ohio State and TAMU losing important coaches. Should kick them out of playoffs IMO. 😜

    I had KU and KState as the Big 12 teams I was following and rooting for after we left and they've both done nothing but frustrate me the last couple years.

    No one? At least no one smart or no one who wants him to do more than be a consultant. I think he's made it pretty clear he doesn't want to do the job of being a college football coach.

    And if that TCU vs UNC game had been in week 4 or 5 the Big 12 would have 0. No one was watching that game for TCU. That said, I still enjoying watching Big 12 games but I'm a sicko who is watching 5 games at once all day on Saturdays.

    Based on your analogy then the players should be allowed to leave and play somewhere else in 2 weeks. But they're not.

    I think they use boots as preventative measures quite a bit. So even with some minor toe or ankle tenderness he'd immediately be in a boot to protect it.

    I really dislike the direction these new covers have gone. They don't look like video game covers, they're too busy with the number of people and the full backgrounds.

    I still have my doubts whether it is a good football decision for any player to skip a year of high school.

    Good promotion for him. Defensive coordinator title at Power 4 school is a job tough to pass up. And I think Georgia Tech is at least not totally outmatched in ACC anymore most weekends.
