    Quick update: Coach Day said that he would like to name a starter by the end of next week. That checks out as it is a similar time frame he named Justin Fields, CJ Stroud, and Will Howard as QB1. I believe Ohio State has a scrimmage tomorrow, and then a scrimmage next Saturday. Day has his next press conference I believe the Monday after next Saturday and most believe he’ll announce QB1 at that time. Ohio State fans remain fairly certain it will be Julian Sayin and they would still be shocked if it is LK.

    The starting LB’s are Sonny Styles & Arvell Reese. Payton Pierce (also from Texas) would be LB3. I would say odds are Pettijon plays special teams only, if that.

    I can’t speak to his reputation in the NFL, but so far recruits and players alike have raved about how much they like him.

    Ohio State fans also hope it is Sayin. The kid has the potential to be special. LK is more mobile, but Sayin is the superior thrower of the football. Ohio State fans would be shocked if LK takes the first snap under center on 8/30

    Ohio State is very confident in their starting interior defensive line. It is the depth that concerns Ohio State.

    Hey dwmundy , LK couldn’t transfer at this point in the off season. That may have been a concern in the spring but LK was clear that if Ohio State didn’t bring in another QB to compete with him and Sayin, he would be back.
