  1. Most Ohio State fans love the hire. The more NFL coaches that are working as analysts the better.
  2. Ohio State named their 2025 captains today after their second and final scrimmage of fall camp. They are Caleb Downs (FS) - 5* .9953 #7 overall recruit Sonny Styles (LB) - 5* .9937 #12 overall recruit Brandon Innis (slot WR, replacing Egbuka) -4* .9815 #38 overall receuit Austin Siereveld (LT) - 4* .9045 #302 overall recruit
  3. My hope is that this is somehow a negotiation tactic to get the SEC to come to the table regarding the 4-4-2-2-1-1 model.
  4. Nah, Pettiti is a TV guy. It’s all about what will make the most money for him. The B1G isn’t having any trouble winning in this era.
  5. Just to get this out of the way now, NO Ohio State fan supports this. No B1G fan supports this
  6. He *should* be, is what I should have said. If he isn’t ready now, he’ll never be.
  7. The reason Ohio State fans aren’t concerned about the new OC is because we view Day as one of the better play callers in the sport, and will Be there to take over should something go wrong with Hartline. Hartline has learned from Jim Tressel, Urban Meyer, Ryan Day, and Chip Kelly so he’s about as well prepared as an offensive coach can be
  8. Punting and field goal kicking wise, Ohio State really isn’t anything special. Not horrible, but if the game came down to a field goal I would not be confident
  9. I’m not necessarily saying Ohio State’s OL will be better than last season, just that there shouldn’t be any drop off. Ohio State’s OL can be one of the best in the country and still lose the battle to Texas’ front 7, they are that good lol
  10. Is this why so many people are confused on why Ohio State is favored? Do people really think Ohio State is replacing 4 offensive linemen?
  11. Ohio State is replacing two starters on their OL, not 4. LT Donovan Jackson and RT Josh Fryar, LG Luke Montgomery, C Carson Hinzman, and RG Tegra Tshabola all return. It appears as if Austin Siereveld who has been in the program for 3 years already will be LT, and Ethan Onianwa was one of the most sought after transfers from Rice at RT.
  12. I have no doubt Julian Sayin will eventually be an elite QB, but is he good enough right now to beat the #1 team in the country with an elite defense?
  13. You guys can speak on Texas’ side of things but for Ohio State, how the QB performs is the best predictor on if Ohio State can/will win or not. Ohio State’s WR, TE, and OL is championship caliber on offense. Ohio State’s LB & secondary are championship caliber on defense. The running backs and defensive line will be good to very good. It is all on Julian Sayin/Lincoln Keinholtz
  14. Picked Texas to win what? Also, we don’t know how good Sayin (or Keinholtz) will be, but Arch in his first start as the unquestioned QB1 isn’t going to find it easy winning on the road either. Sayin was 5* QB1 coming out of HS just like Arch was.
  15. Finebaum is about as uneducated of a CFB fan you can be. He is analysis does not go any deeper than “Ohio State lost X amount of players, therefore they won’t be as good”
  16. Nothing says better coach like losing 28-14 in the semifinals lol. Ohio State has the better coach.
  17. Ohio State does not have a young unproven OL. They return their three starting IOL from the championship run last season as well as the their top two backups. LT is looking like it will be Austin Serieveld and RT will be Ethan Onianwa who has started many games at Rice.
  18. You must have some of that oil money we always hear about 😂
  19. Hey gentlemen (and women), I am an Ohio State alumnus and season ticket holder so I figured I would share a little information for you all. When you are looking at the Ohio Stadium seating chart, the Texas sideline will be the even sectioned side. For example, sections 20A & 22A are on the 50 yard line on the visitor side. Where as sections 19/21 would be on the 50 on the Ohio State said. As far as the away sections, where the most Texas fans will be seated (I’m sure there will be a lot of you unfortunately 😭) will be the NE corner of the stadium. Usually away fans are in the lower bowl and also the upper level right above them. From ChatGPT (this is accurate) ”the designated seating sections for away team fans are primarily located in sections 6C, 8C, 10C, and 4AA through 10AA. Additionally, visiting team fans are seated in rows 8 and higher (rows 8-41) in sections 8C and 10C. These sections are situated in the closed end zone and parts of the south stands, particularly in the lower AA sections near the top right corner of the field when facing the closed end zone.”
  20. I’m going to go with James Peoples, up the middle on the 2 yard line after a short field from a Jermaine Matthews Jr int from Arch.
  21. I don’t know anything about this guy, but Sark is one of the best, if not the best play callers in the sport, so I appreciate Ohio State bringing in more NFL guys to study Sark’s offense. At least I assume this is a direct result of playing Texas week one.
  22. The IOL should be the strength, but we feel very confident in our OT’s as well. IOL and OT’s have quality depth as well. That doesn’t mean they can hold up for an entire game against Texas’ defense, but we feel the OL will be better than last season, and potentially one of Ohio State’s best in a decade plus.
  23. When Ohio State fans hate on Bjork, they aren’t taking account of hires like this. This is something Ohio State rarely did at this point in the off season before Bjork. Ohio State is spending money, just not on unproven high school recruits. Some Ohio State fans are slow to adapt that there are other ways to spend money.
  24. That would be unusual for Day. Most believe he’ll announced QB1 at his Monday, 8/18 or Tuesday, 8/19 press conference. That lines up with the time frame he has announced all other QB competition winners, aside from Kyle McCord & Devin Brown two seasons ago.
