  1. Don’t worry, Ohio State fans are the same way. If Saban wouldn’t have retired and he never left Alabama, I’m sure we would have many critiques of his game.
  2. Jeremiah Smith on Julian Sayin ”That arm is different. He can make any and every throw. Just a smart QB. He’s definitely going to be a guy. It’s going to be scary for opponents.” 8/30 can’t come soon enough! Is it just me or does just under two weeks feel like an eternity?
  3. You probably don’t follow Ohio State as closely as I do. Either way, we will all find out together one way or another in 2 weeks. I’m not convinced that the Arch Manning we saw against Georgia isn’t going to be the Arch we see against Ohio State.
  4. He’s 6’1 210. Plenty big enough for college football. I don’t care about height until it comes to the NFL
  5. The funny thing is that even though WH was 6’4 225, Sayin has a stronger arm than Will Howard. And when I say stronger, what I mean is he can throw the ball further than Will Howard. Can he throw it further and be as accurate? We will find out, but Sayin can launch the ball.
  6. Yeah, Tua was the most accurate deep ball thrower I have ever seen. I hope no Buckeye is comparing him to Tua. Sayin’s defining trait is his processing speed.
  7. I wouldn’t recommend basing anything off of spring games
  8. But you may be right on the 5-7 step drop backs. Texas’s front 6/7 might not allow that anyways
  9. Very interesting opinions. From all local reports, Sayin’s arm strength is one of his best attributes
  10. Innis is a dawg, and will be replacing Egbuka in the slot. I’m not worried about Innis being able to step up, I’m worried will Julian Sayin be able to thread the needle like Will Howard did against Texas. There were 3-4 passes that Will Howard threw that if they were just an inch lower, or a millisecond behind they would have been intercepted. Texas’ defense was outstanding. Ohio State was very fortunate.
  11. In all seriousness, Ohio State has NFL wide receivers in Innis and Tate BUT they are not burners and they are not genetic freaks. I would do the exact same thing Texas did in the sugar bowl, I wouldn’t change a thing
  12. They should focus on Carnell Tate and Brandon Innis. Jeremiah Smith is overrated. Put Anthony Hill on him!
  13. Yup, 100%. If Texas rattles him early it’s going to be very hard for Ohio State to move the ball.
  14. I think that the play calling, offensive line, tight ends, and wide receivers will cover up a lot of his inexperience.
  15. Ohio State’s offensive line will be as good or better than the one Collin Simmons & Anthony Hill Jr faced in the Cotton Bowl, for better or for worse. Simmons had 4 tackles and zero sacks or tackles for loss. I wouldn’t expect much different on 8/30 TBH. Ohio State should have one of the best offensive lines in CFB this season. Also, Ohio State had the #1 D in the country last year, Texas may be #1 this season, but Ohio State will be 1B.
  16. I don’t know but Day definitely wants his QB’s playing inside of the pocket. I would think more Dwayne Haskins/CJ Stroud than Justin Fields
  17. The only things that have been reported out of Ohio State’s camp is pretty much what has been said about Sayin since he was the #1 QB recruit, which is that he has been processing and getting the ball out very quick and accurately and that he has a strong arm. Other than that, there hasn’t been much reporting on whether he’s had his struggles or even if he’s been dominant. Just that he’s been good.
  18. My personal opinion, and I’m sure this is where I’ll get booted from this forum (which has been awesome by the way), is that Arch isn’t nearly prepared to face a defense like Ohio State as many Texas fans (or national media) believe he is. My opinion is that Julian Sayin will leave 8/30 getting all of the hype that many believed would go to Arch. Just my biased two cents
  19. Yeah for sure. Regardless, a real game against Texas’ defense is a hell of a lot different than practice reps. So even if he has been amazing in camp, doesn’t mean he’ll be amazing on 8/30.
  20. If Lagway’s even healthy at that point
  21. He’s bigger than Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray
  22. The same can be said for Texas’ offense. It’ll come down to who makes the first big mistake, my money is on Arch making the first big mistake 😉
  23. That has not been reported anywhere and is completely made up.
  24. Is this two of the past three #1 QB recruits going head to head?
