    Absolutely would not trust this punter. He has the slowest kicking motion I've seen in some time and the blocking has been abysmal. I think kicking the FG was the right call and the kicker was damned close.

    With the exception of Arkansas all of the upcoming opponents have more dynamic offenses (in some cases, MUCH more dynamic) than those we've played to date ex-Ohio State. I don't think we can count of the defense holding all of these to 14 points or less.

    Smart and Day know that a big part of college football (not NFL) is emotions and getting young men fired up. i’ve said it before on this forum and it was ridiculed for it but contrast the game day styles of Day versus Sark. Day is running up and down the sidelines, yelling at guys and refs, and extremely hands on. Sark is quietly taking notes and reading his play sheet. The latter is what you want from an OC, not a HC. The team adapts the personality of its coach and it’s why I believe we often come out flat and stay that way for most games.

    The offense had the same set of problems with Ewers. Too much reliance on big plays which means zero rhythm and lopsided TOP. The biggest change since then is our special teams have fallen off a cliff from being ++ to somewhere between below average to terrible.

    I don't get the impression that Sark likes his QBs doing that. Too much of a control freak.

    What exactly is Sark trying to do on offense? Ewers not a good fit. Arch not a good fit. Based upon what I know, KJ isn't a good fit either. If the offense requires Tom Brady to work we might be waiting forever.

    Mora sure has fallen a long way. Nothing screams “has been” more than a former NFL coach taking a HC role at a bottom feeder college program.

    Venerables reminds me of Charlie Strong. Nice guy and a good DC but in WAY over his head as a HC.

    Not many playmakers on this team, or at least they're not showing up tonight. I can't think of anybody that has stood out.

    It feels like we relied too heavily on the portal. I still don't understand why we fired PK or pushed out guys like Wisner. It feels like we have a bunch of random guys playing together rather than a team that has gelled.

    It was blocked up pretty well. The RB took an awful angle after the catch.

    Our lack of draftable offensive talent says a lot. We have enormous talent in the wings but we sure dropped the ball last offseason. I think we would have made the playoffs if we had added another WR and OG.

    Oddly I saw him watching a home football game in one of the boxes last year, so he must be in good graces of the admin despite him being pushed out last year. (and no it's not my box, but a friend has one)

    Their queso is by far the best queso I’ve had anywhere. This is a great tradition that OTF should do on game days too. I always head over there after games to have a beer while traffic thins out.

    He'll probably get some type of probation or other deal that no normal person would receive, but will likely keep him out of the tournament either way. Reminds me of Romance Taylor 20 years ago, just so stupid to potentially throw away your entire career over an illegal side hustle (ESPECIALLY in the NIL era). I can understand personal consumption but this clearly isn't that.

    Good luck to him. I've never been a fan of the "bend but don't break" defensive style but the numbers don't lie, we were one of the best defenses in the country when he was DC.
