  1. Richardson is super twitched up athlete for those that haven’t seen him … his game is ascending big time right now.
  2. For those wondering … my OnTexasBasketball in-state rankings for 2027 post TABC Marcus Spears Jr. has the highest NBA upside down the line. Dawson Battie is what I call a “Final Four” player. Al Horford’lite Reese Alston visited Overtime Elite last week. Second Baptist fighting to keep him Im going to expand the state rankings to top 20 after July … a terrific class in-state right now, prior to guys leaving for national programs over time. Dynamic Prep should keep three of the best in state, Richardson will finish HS at Friendswood … so hopefully the state doesn’t lose as many in this cycle
  3. I know Chase Richardson very well being a former Friendswood High player that is very close to the program. Hes ascending quickly as a player/PG right now. Won’t surprise me if he ends up being a top 50-60 player in the class. There are 25’ish high-majors watching him in Rock Hill next week. A lot of head coaches I’ve watched Avery Huston multiple times since the spring. Love where he is headed as a player. He should be a top 100 prospect (maybe top 75 or higher) in time.
  4. Yep. Think it’s he got a lot of muscle weight.
  5. 300-305 IMO think Kelvin Beachum (6-3, 305) and Calvin Anderson (6-4.5, 305) with elite athleticism. Turntine is 6-3 5/8 with 81-82 inch wing span, 33 5/8 inch arms and 10 inch hands. He's a 600 pound squatter right now at 270 pounds. He's uber athletic and strong considering how much more weight/strength he will add to his frame.
  6. He weighed 268 on OV to Texas in June. 270 at Stanford in June.
  7. Jeff Howe and I published an OnTexasBasketball video Friday. We had GASO's Blue Zertuche and Ryan Massad on to talk about top Texas targets in 2026 and 2027 Both of these guys are friends, and the entire GASO team truly does a great job covering and helping grow high school basketball in the state. They also run tournaments and events extremely well. We talk Austin Goosby, Bo Ogden, Bryson Howard, Dawson Battie, Marcus Spears Jr., Reese Alston and Ryan Hampton
  8. Have a story on that this morning
  9. 4-star+ WR Kaydon Finley to Notre Dame That one is now official.
  10. Potentially Monday … but in recruiting could change
  11. Ojo has texted a Texas coach today. No phone call as of noon
  12. Still see a top 5 level class. Texas will likely be ranked anywhere from 6-9 when the ball is kicked to begin the 2025 season, and Texas' class will have a lot of runway
  13. Texas didn't push late for Calicut, Someone asked which prospects Texas didn't push for late ... I would say NIL match late. Calicut Simeon Texas isn't pushing for Bryce Perry-Wright ... OTF has reported that numerous times. The commitment of Richard Wesley meant Texas wasn't going to push on BP-W. Xavier Griffin wasn't coming to Texas when Tyler Atkinson was brought in for an OV ... so not sure how one calculates that. But OTF reported multiple times that was going to be the case. Texas absolutely wanted Ezavier Crowell, Malakai Lee, Kendall Guervil and Trenton Henderson. Texas will hang around those through senior year.
  14. There will always be someone that feels that way, and I can tell you I don't give a rip. Coaches leave jobs for another, and many times it breaks on social media before the players are told. And it happens that way because the coach doesn't want the news to leak out early.
  15. Turntine III junior HUDL: http://www.hudl.com/v/2QStkx
  16. We are starting to see more of it. There have been several in this cycle that have done that. Just me, but if I was a prospect and wanted to have my announcement I would do the same or not tell the teams until 15-20 mins prior. The news always trickles out from the ones that don’t get the player 95% of the time. Now, I would take the time to call the remaining staffs from the final few after the announcement and say thank you and whatever else a player wants to … in case things change. It’s not a popular opinion , but I don’t have a problem with someone trying to keep the lid on their news as much as possible.
  17. He's going to be all over the place ... like his recruitment IMO But there will be bigger NIL offers he will have to turn down to commit to Texas
