    He had a pretty bad hyperextension from what I was told ... he definitely has a bone bruise. Question is if there is any other damage. I had that in hoops my sophomore season from severe hyperextension.

    Just to clarify ... He hyperextended his knee when attempting to make contact. It was during the contact part of the play, but non-contact injury right before the contact would have occurred. He was arms extended.

    Difference ... Pope didn't have a Texas choice. Nor did Weaver (went to UH). Texas moved on from each of those guys after the season. Even when it became apparent they may have possibility to get another year... Texas wouldn't have made that move.

    Yep. Had mentioned on a couple of threads it was likely. 1. It will be interesting if Texas A&M doesn't believe Bryson Warren will be eligible. 2. If I were Pope, would have gone to SMU. Much better fit for his game. Asking Pope to pressure guard 94 feet all season will be interesting. 3. He will definitely have some very good, hot games shooting it and help Texas A&M win. 4. All of this if the NCAA doesn't get a stay. 5. Pope's effort to play against Purdue in S16 game with a broken foot will always be one of the best individual efforts by a Texas player I have seen.
