  1. You know everyone was saying that about us last year, right? We had an easy schedule, played a bunch of back-up QB's, etc.
  2. Yeah it must be nice to spend that much money to dominate the big 12 like that LOL.
  3. To your point A&M is weak at stopping the run, but we can't run the ball. Remember how bad Kentucky was at stopping the run? Wasn't Miss State bad at it, too? Just saying, just because a team has a weakness doesn't mean you can take advantage of it. This isn't negativity either, it's just criticism and opinions. That's what the forum is for or rather forums in general. Texas was right there with them in their house but anyone watching that game felt like we were never really in it. Plus they didn't have an identity either, first start for their QB, new RB's, etc. I do agree though, go out and win these next 3 games and you control your destiny. Lose one and you're likely out. We'll see how they do this week against Georgia.
  4. I'm not sure Cruz is going to want to sit another year. But I could be wrong. Right now imo, if Goosby comes back your OL looks like this next year: LT - Goosby, LG - Brooks/Stroh, C - Robertson/Cruz, RG - Kibble/Stroh, RT - Baker If Goosby doesn't come back: LT - Brooks, LG Stroh/Kibble, C - Roberston/Cruz, Kibble/Stroh, RT - Baker Now to your point, what do Chatman and Cojoe do? Do the Coleman twins and Christian develop well for next year? Umeozulu is likely to transfer at this point. He only has one year left of eligibility anyway. You could potentially be looking at 2-3 OL transferring. Unless Cojoe can play G. But to your point, they definitely need some competition. Whether that's from transfers or the guys there already. Either way you have the potential to lose 3 starting OL from this years group. I'll be curious to see what Sark/Flood do in the off-season. Though to be fair, they would hopefully have a team of people looking around and seeing what is possibly out there.
  5. I think if that was an issue, it would affect the whole team, not one specific position.
  6. I read one of the comments on the tweet saying that she's a professor and coach now LOL.
  7. I don't mind McAfee, I'm just sick of seeing him literally everywhere lol.
  8. I never understand kids that commit that early. Enjoy the process, make a decision your Sr year when you're ready.
  9. Right now the OL would look something like this (assuming Goosby does go pro): LT - Brooks, LG - Stroh/Kibble, C - Roberston/Cruz, RG - Stroh/Kibble, RT - Baker Now I don't know where a guy like Cojoe fits into all that coming back from a season ending injury. If he portals, if he could slot in at G or what. It's also dependent on how the current crop of Fr are doing besides Brooks. Coleman brothers and Christian. Do any of them factor in at G? Then you've got Chatman and Umeozulu. We all seem to think Umeozulu will transfer but does Chatman stay as depth? Lots of ? marks for next year, too.
  10. I don't profess to have any insider knowledge just my gut feeling on the situation and going off what people who are in the know are saying. Whether we see major development will be on what Sark decides to do.
  11. What you're misunderstanding when people say why wouldn't Sark get rid of Flood, is because Sark is the one who controls what O is run, the schemes, etc. Flood fits what he develops, recruits, etc. To what Sark wants. Unless Sark changes what he does, it won't matter who the OL coach is. With Sark they don't specialize in anything or have an identity to measure up an OL towards. He wants them to do literally everything. This is what I've gathered from people that talk about the situation anyway and putting two/two together.
  12. I'm not going to lie, I've done that more than once here lol.
  13. Flood isn't gone, not sure why people think he will be. Him and Sark are married together. Sark trusts him with the OL and to run what he wants. Whether any of us disagree about it or not, it's just reality. Like I've said in another thread or multiple threads, it would be nice for them to kick the tires on some OL but I don't believe they will. But I'm not in the know or have any insider knowledge, just a gut feeling and connecting the dots.
  14. From my understanding of baseball top tier prospects, most of them don't make it to a college campus, no? They typically get drafted before that happens. I'm assuming with how highly rated this guy is, he's more than likely to get drafted. Unless rev share and NIL can swing him to Texas.
  15. Well to be fair, that was with their HC and all the drama about firing him....besides us just playing bad, lol. Not sure it means much considering this same Florida team was a few bad calls away from beating Georgia last week.
  16. Georgia is lacking on the DL compared to last year, their LB's are still good but not as good as last years group. Two of their guys had like 8-9 of their 13 sacks against us. Secondary for them is a weak point and banged up. They also lost one of their best DL for the season last week, I believe. In saying that, Kirby Smart is a great coach, despite what people think of him and he'll have something dialed up to get his team over the hump and make it difficult. I'm not worried about what they've done so far, compared to what they'll do against us. Plus it's in Athen's, we haven't played well on the road this year at all. We're a Stoops bad decision and miraculous come back from being 0-4 on the road this year. I truly hope things have turned the corner, but we'll see. They got a week to get everyone rested and healed up, which will help, imo. I also think they have the current best group of OL out there right now, just a shame it took them this long to figure it out. Moving Milwee back to the booth seems to have helped Sark stop forcing something that isn't working.
  17. Is Malik Murphy still the QB at Oregon State?
  18. I'm not sure we should be worrying about the CCG, at least I'm not. Beating Georgia on the road, where we haven't played well, is a pretty daunting task. Considering they just breezed past Miss State, a team that was about to blow us out if not for a great comeback effort by the boys. We'll see if the Texas has truly turned a corner when they play next week. But the D has me worried, especially the secondary even with guys coming back from injury. Also get to see if that OL can hold up because last years one got torn apart against Georgia in both games. Interesting scenario's though.
  19. Texas isn't going to pay him, unless there is major exodus in the WR room. Just my opinion still. He is a definite difference maker though.
  20. Don't post stuff like that, now I want him at Texas lol. Even though I know it's unlikely to happen.
  21. Not sure where he fits, will going to Okie State be an upgrade? Sure it's in the Big 12, but is the support there? Arky is apparently leaning heavy towards the Memphis HC. LSU, Penn State and Florida are not going to hire him. Just not sure where he fits.
  22. They have better athletes but they have also struggled on their defensive front. I'm sure they'll get up for Texas but if you can protect Arch again, we'll be able to shred their secondary. More 11 personnel will keep their LB's from just loading the box. It'll be a tough game for sure, but Hutson is better at G than he is C.
  23. I don't think it will happen but they are good this year, it is what it is.
  24. That's because Sark has that whole "circle of trust" thing and refuses to play these guys more. But in saying that, they can't be that frustrated there's only so many passes to go around. Not sure who is pushing those rumours.
