  1. Problem with PK is he has too much reliance on the passing game coordinator to handle the back end. Similar to his time at Washington with Lake. I think he's made massive strides in his time at Texas but Sark keeps hiring guys that don't mesh with PK very well at all. Akina is a perfect example. Akina is a man specialist. PK wants to run zone. The result is as we've seen. It took Joseph and PK 4 years to get on the same level with each other. Not sure who you'd hire to replace him (not saying I want to or you are) but it's an interesting hypothetical. For the experience these DB's have, the secondary should not be this bad, disjointed or not communicate. Makes no sense to me.
  2. I'm not sure where to post this or if it was even worth starting a new thread. But I got a good laugh out of this video that came across my feed. Already saw one Texas fan make a post there but most of it is OU, A&M, Georgia and Bama fans tearing us a new one for being entitled and all that. Go have a read and get a good laugh, this is really what they think of us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwdKbZCWb9M
  3. Don't forget that all the issues we see this year, were there the previous 4 years. But because of NIL and the portal, he was able to cover dis own deficiencies. Thinking that Sark is going to change his approach on things is wrong. He isn't going to do that, that is reality. He is what he is. Don't forget the two semi-final runs had a bunch of games that were close that shouldn't have been. We are also lucky not to lose 2-3 more games already this year. Having the fear of not being able to find a better HC if he does decide to leave is hilarious though. That would mean you guys don't trust CDC or Eltife to find someone to continue steering the program in the right direction, which is funny because everyone always praises them for all the work that has been done in the athletic department (especially CDC). I don't really care what happens either way. Just want to see a better product on the field than what has been put out there. Right now, Sark doesn't think anything is wrong just that we've been unlucky or whatever.
  4. I will say this though, if Sark does leave, for whatever reason, I have faith in CDC and the guys at Texas to do a great job in replacing him. I'm sure he has a short list already, for a break in case of emergency. While I don't think he's going anywhere, there is definitely some smoke around it. With the poor play on the field, combined with rumours, it's always going to cause issues. I don't know, I just want them to finish off the season with 2 wins but who knows what team is going to show up.
  5. I personally think it's the only hire that makes sense for them. He's from that general area, he's still a good coach despite all the nonsense around him and I think he would do well there. Otherwise you're going to have to take a chance on a guy like Hartline or similar type of thing.
  6. This is actually a good fit for him. Not very high expectations, he recruited Virginia a lot and he's still a great HC just couldn't do well in the big time games.
  7. Look rumours like this are always going to come up, it's the nature of clickbait media to do so. But there has been talk about him wanting to go to the NFL but I don't think he's ready for it yet and I also don't think he wants to leave without getting over the hump. Then again, what the hell do I know? LOL.
  8. Another option is Durham if he's interested, over at LSU. I think if Florida hires Kiffin, there's almost zero chance Baugh leaves for Texas. But there will need to be some serious discussions had at the end of the year with coaches and players.
  9. Baugh wouldn't come to Texas if he left Florida, he's more likely to head back to Georgia than further away to Texas. Coleman would be nice but also very unrealistic, considering what they're paying for the guys in the WR now. So you either gotta let some of those guys go, otherwise it makes no sense for them to go after Coleman. Not that I disagree, just looking at it realistically.
  10. I understand where you're coming from, but I just can't see it happening with Sark unless he has a come to Jesus moment. Like what Gerry has talked about several times in videos since the game.
  11. Akina doesn't really mesh with what PK wants to do. PK wants to run more zone and Akina is more of a man specialist. I just think there's too much trust in his passing game coordinator. First with Terry and now Akina. You need to tell them this is what you want and get it done.
  12. I still can't believe Tom "Mensa" Herman beat Georgia in a meaningless bowl game and Sark has 3 cracks at it, been blown out twice and screwed the pooch on the other one.
  13. Yeah once Sark's script gets used up, it's like he has no idea what to do. I'm starting to come around to this bend but don't break D that everyone's talking about. I like PK but he rarely ever wants to attack teams. The first couple of TD's from Georgia felt like lay ups and after that they finally woke up and started playing and then once they scored again to go up 21-10, it felt like the air just left their lungs. I think PK's problem is there are too many cooks in the kitchen, if that makes sense. Also think he puts too much trust in his passing game coordinators to handle the secondary.
  14. It makes sense.
  15. Well said.
  16. This might actually be true. Like most coaches he's stubborn to a fault. I think the even bigger problem is, he doesn't think anything is wrong.
  17. Man you ain't catching me outside anywhere at 2am. Hope he makes a speedy recovery.
  18. Sark said they were expecting it and practiced for it....it sure as hell didn't look like it lol.
  19. Yeah some of the play calls make no sense and if even an amateur like ourselves can see it, what the hell is Sark or Milwee looking at lol. For all the clamoring that Bobo gets from Georgia fans, he seems to put his guys in positions to make plays and adjust to what they are good at. Our offensive guru once again out coached.
  20. We were running the ball really well early, I was actually surprised and then we just went pass happy. I thought Sark needed to go more ground and pound while it was working. Was very weird to see, imo.
  21. At the half he said we were running the ball well and we were, yet he went away from it? Makes no sense to me.
  22. The problem isn't Flood or the OL. It's Sark's scheme, it's been said many times and none more so than Gerry. We could get rid of Flood and maybe that is the right move, who knows. The problem starts with Sark. His example of Elko building an identity in two years at A&M and Sark in year 5 still has no identity. They don't run the ball well, the passing game works...some of the time and your blocking is spotty. Until Sark figures that out, it won't matter who is coaching OL or even playing there. The buck stops and starts with him.
  23. Also someone made a comment on the post game live stream. Texas A&M, OU and Tech are all going to be in the playoffs and Texas is not. That stings more than it should.
