  1. That's fair. I'm surprised with all the Basketball talent in state, that they aren't a blue blood when it comes to the sport. But I get your point.
  2. From what I've understood, missing the tourney would likely see him let go. If he made the tourney and had at least one win, he'd easily be back next year.
  3. This is rough for Terry and the boys, #2 team in the nation and getting your butt whooped at home and on national TV is not a great feeling. I'm not sure what our NIL is for Basketball, but it could be a combination of things. Similar to Pierce with Baseball? Seems like boosters just couldn't get behind him and the same seems similar for Terry? I've no idea tbh, I'm not very knowledgeable on that stuff. Not sure firing a HC right now is a good look, but if things don't shape up for the rest of the season, he'll most likely be let go. CDC has a tough job ahead of him. Not even sure who we could snag in Basketball. From my understanding we're a blue blood in Football and Baseball, but not in Basketball. So it should be interesting.
  4. Come on boys, let's get it together!
  5. I honestly have no idea about coaches, so I'll trust that Sark is going to make a great choice, because so far he's done a great job of getting guys in place.
  6. Dakorien Moore, come on down? Lol.
  7. I somehow completely missed all that, lol. Congrats to him, hope he kicks ass over there.
  8. I'm from Australia.
  9. I'm sorry, am I missing something? Did Gideon leave or is this just to add onto the staff, like Coach Sark has been doing lately.
  10. Fasusi decided Texas was the place to be? Too soon? I love Gerry's "Hi's" because he knows it gets us excited but also drives us crazy at the same time, lol.
  11. I agree with you about that. Not sure I'd bump Hartline up to OC, but I understand to keep him there and all that. Hartline is a great guy, great recruiter and WR coach. But can he call an O?
  12. Pretty sure we just took their DL coach, too.
  13. Apparently J.Smith isn't too happy with the move of Kelly off to the NFL. But that's just what I was reading, likely nothing to it.
  14. I'm reading some interesting comments about this and apparently the new owner is a big casino guy in Vegas? Some suggest that he may be looking to take the team out of Dallas and relocate them to Las Vegas? That would be a wild move. So get rid of your best player, get people disinterested and then announce the team is moving for "insert reason". No idea, just what I'm sussing out. Don't really follow anyone in the NBA close enough, let alone the Mav's but this is just a wildly stupid move on their part. He's what? 25 or so, right? Guy almost averages a triple double every year and you trade him.
  15. I know LSU isn't that good this year, but man that was a straight up butt whooping. Great job by the players and coaches.
  16. He's one of the must grabs for the interior OL this class, imo. Huge upside for this kid.
  17. I'm with you Jeff, unless there is a great option in the portal, I'm hoping these guys step up. I think Shannon has had several years in the program got to sit behind and learn from some great TE's, he needs to make a big leap. Washington is going to be a beast at TE, no doubt. Same with Townsend when he gets his chance.
  18. I think, depending on what they do with the interior OL, it could be better than previous years? Depending on how things shape out, you've got some massive dudes on the interior. COuld be Umeozulu, Hutson and Campbell or even throw in Kibble if he continues progressing like we keep hearing. That will be a great spot to watch this off-season and especially Spring. Potential attrition there, too. Also gotta see what they do with the Notre Dame guy they offered. As you said about WR, not worried about speed. I think the guys we have are very talented and will be really good this coming season. Very competitive time during Winter workouts and Spring ball coming up there.
  19. I don't deny his speed, I've seen his tape. The guy can flat out run. Hope he gets a shot, because he's a potential stud if he can get it together. I agree about Arch, Moore and Wingo. I'm sure he'll continue to build that rapport with the other guys and the TE's over the off season. I think a guy like Washington at TE, can be another great weapon for him. Same for Niblett (who has great speed). We'll see what they decide to do the Spring portal, if there is a more experienced WR they want to grab or if they're happy with what they've got. Same for TE. I'm personally hoping that Shannon steps up, too. A guy his size, would be a mis match nightmare in the red zone. Similar to Helm (though I think he was underutilized in the red zone).
  20. Can I still be a little bit salty about Fasusi and Moore? Lol. Either way, our staff did an amazing job and this class is beyond amazing. So much talent. The current staff under Sark knows how to evaluate and develop. Though they completely lost that '22 D recruiting class with most of them not even being at Texas anymore.
  21. If we had grabbed him, then got Kanu, we'd be 100% set for the season. Especially you add in January who is expected to be a bigger contributor this year and we hope Hills can take that leap, like Baker wants him to. Then you add in the very talented 3 Fr? The room is looking great under Baker, considering it was left pretty bare for him and then we lost a lot of attrition in the portal.
  22. Chris Ash is a great DC (imo), was a bit disappointed we didn't keep him when Sark was hired, just for continuity sake and to help transition Sark to Texas. But I loved the PK hire., just wish he hadn't hired most of the defensive staff without PK first, but that's in the past.
  23. They're going to use him as both. He'll be that speed guy they utilize, similar to K-Rob, Bolden or even Blue, if you will. He'll be a weapon for Arch.
  24. I remember watching Livingstone's hudl tape and being very impressed. Not sure how much he has progressed since getting to Texas, but he'll have a chance to showcase himself this Spring and during Winter workouts. Same with Butler and Deboise. Guys like Ffrench, Lockett and McHutchinson are talented Fr, they'll push for a spot, too. Lots of talent, just not much experience outside of Moore and Wingo. Personally think Wingo is about have a crazy year.
  25. I'm not that concerned. The guys we have are great. Just need to keep recruiting at a high level there. Would be nice to have a transfer guy, but we either didn't land or go after any of the guys jumping in. I think with Moore, Wingo and whoever out of - Livingstone, Butler, Deboise and the incoming Fr can get it done. Plus you'll have Niblett who has legit speed as a guy you can use all over. Washington at TE is also a guy to watch, very athletic and will be a great TE for us (imo). Understand the concern from people, but I think we'll be fine.
