  1. We'll see what the Aggies do when the other team prepares for the QB. Both of the "big" wins for the Aggies have come by surprising the opponent with a QB switch. Neither Reed nor Weigman are good when the defense game plans against them. It's very unlikely Reed runs wild against Texas.
  2. Sark needs to switch to Arch if he wants to win the title.
  3. With the Utes tanking this season, is there a chance the Longhorns circle back on some of their Texas recruits?
  4. Texas has depth on the line too. Not guaranteed to be as good next year, but they shouldn't fall of a cliff.
  5. The Texas O-line is lightyears ahead of the criminal O-line. Penalties are a problem, not complete lack of talent.
  6. C'mon guys. Quinn was pretty good. The truth is that at least half of the holding calls on Texas were head scratching. That's probably ten points. My guess is that Texas will be sending film to the SEC of Vandy doing the same thing and not getting called. Still should have won by more, but you take the win and get back to work.
  7. Like I said, he does play to his main audience. If you watch his videos before the game, however, he was pretty strong on Texas. In fact, he said the only reason he was picking Georgia was because he didn't want to get the fan base blowback.
  8. Brooks Austin isn't a pure Georgia homer. He plays to his market, but when he's doing film breakdowns, he explains what's happening from a football perspective. Sark's lack of adjustment until half time is head scratching. It's like he couldn't accept that the Georgia defense was more than ready for his plan. Now, I'm sure he was thinking he couldn't just change and complicate things because both the o-line and Quinn weren't picking things up, but that goes back to the fact that the original plan wasn't very good.
  9. For our central Texas German boys. I think this was the first and last German language song to reach number 1 on the American charts. I remember listening to this when I was twelve years old in 1985.
  10. The lead singer of The La's looks like Arch.
  11. I'm watching all this nonsense from criminal fans saying now that they've fired Littrell, they can hire any OC in the country they want. They're nuts. No one with a brain in their head is willing to take that job. This is Venables' fault. He pushed out Gabriel. He went to Arnold. He then went to Hawkins. He obviously doesn't know what he's doing. The criminals have no domestic recruiting base. They don't have as much money to pay top recruits as the top thirty programs in the nation now that paying is legal. They're getting what they deserve.
  12. We'll see what Sark says at the Monday presser. (He's starting Quinn. I'm talking about film review.) I'm all for putting in Arch because I think he's more fundamentally sound with his footwork, mechanics, and he steps up in the pocket even when he knows he's going to get hit. By the time you get to December, I think Arch will be better. That said, I don't think Quinn is to blame for this loss. Pat Mahomes couldn't have won that game. The Georgia defensive front seven literally beat us all night long.
  13. Do we know if there are guys open downfield?
  14. I'll add that I'll take Quinn over Beck in that game. All three interceptions Beck threw were on him. Georgia's front seven whipped us down after down. Quinn could have responded better, but it would have taken a performance for the ages. I'm not too worried about him.
  15. I've watched the game tape twice. The more I see, the less I blame Quinn. He held the ball too long, and he missed open guys, but he was getting substantial pressure. He should have stepped up more rather than moving laterally, which gave him no chance. He could have stepped up and bought a half second to throw, but that's easier said than done.
  16. Quinn's footwork and pocket presence were much improved at the beginning of this season. He played very well against a really good Michigan defense. Since the injury, his footwork and mechanics have been bad. His mechanics weren't as bad against Georgia as they were against the criminals, but his pocket presence was worse.
  17. The O-line wasn't able to adjust to the GA blitz in the first half. Third quarter Quinn and the O-line were good. Fourth quarter Quinn went stale.
  18. If I'm not mistaken Rod was a freshman at Texas in 1999. I'm partying for this game from 6:00 PM Friday until at least 6:00 AM Sunday.
  19. Reminded me of Edwin Simmons 1983.
  20. Schofield Kid to Clint in Unforgiven: "On account of you're as cold as the snow, and you ain't got no weak nerve nor fear." Turned out, he was right.
  21. I guess I shouldn't have said it.
  22. Guess someone's cheating in college football somewhere.
  23. The head coach of Texas has never posed for pictures denigrating the criminal sooners. I know the criminals think Venables is some kind of angel, but he's a sign stealing, cheating son of gun, just like Switzer. Remember that FBI raid while Switzer was in charge? They don't because they're living in fantasy land in the shadow of Texas. The criminals couldn't even field a team if they didn't pay Texas guys. Guess what? Everybody can pay Texas players now. That's why they suck now. It's not the OC. It's the head coach who hired the idiot OC. Littrell didn't push out Gabriel for Arnold. They're in for some butt whippings for more than a few years. Arch is going to light the criminals up while they're trying to figure out who is the QB.
  24. By the way, if I was Gunnar Helm's daddy, I'd be pretty proud. Kirby Smart praising Helm.
  25. Sark knows it. He ain't letting the chance slip away.
