    What are we talking about? Don't care how much they spent this year. We talkin billions to millions when it comes down to it. Let's go back to 1996 when Kentucky actually mattered. If you based your view on what was then, you'd take Delk, Walker, etc. But who was really gonna be the best? Not Kentucky goobers. Even Pitino told you who was the best that draft night.

    On Kentucky: Calipari is and was a used car salesman, recruiting shyster. No one in basketball thinks he could outcoach a real high school guy. That's why he continuously lost with more talent. That's why Kentucky hasn't been real since Pitino. Their fan base is rotten.

    You boys are lost in media hype. Kentucky is a graveyard. Non-blue bloods like UConn, Florida, Arizona, Villanova, Michigan State, Houston, etc, etc. are better than Kentucky. It's not 1996.

    Indiana isn't a juggernaut in football. Georgia Tech won a football natty in 1990. Didn't make them a juggernaut. I'd put Texas over Kentucky because of talent base. Not to mention the only basketball fans in the world more delusional than Kentucky fans are Cuban infected Mavs fans.

    If you want big improvement next season, better hope for a point guard. Casual basketball fans understand the game about as much they understand thermonuclear dynamics. Like goobers talking about Luka as some kind of savior. Reminds me of one of my favorite film lines from Revenge. "They're no doubt expecting a common, reliable stud, which he ain't."

    Good news here is that the Ole Miss PG, Kamardine, is tall and lanky like Mark. Tramon should be able to defend him reasonably well and you can hide Pope defensively. Beard may have those boys breathing fire.

    Odom from Arizona State and few guys during buy games did it too. It's always the PG. Pope can't defend. Mark isn't much better because he lacks lateral quickness, although he does have good length. You could try starting Wilcher, but he's been a major offensive liability except the last two games. Wilcher has been part of the foul crew as well. I sure hope they can identify and land a legitimate PG in the portal for next season.

    Nice article, Jeff. Great summary. Don't know if the defense is really going to improve much. Pope and Mark just can't defend well enough to elevate our defensive ceiling. I'd key in on Matas, and I think that's what Miller is doing. If you can get him to protect the ball better in the post, cut down on turnovers, and then avoid a couple of mental lapses defensively, we could improve eight points a game total. That would be massive.

    Speaking of the draft, I wouldn't touch Peterson with a ten foot pole. Great player with unbelievable skill, but he won't play if he feels a twinge. Don't wanna hear about NBA money contract BS either. If he's not man enough to play, he's not worth a big contract. End of story.

    I would think Swain's performance at the combine and draft camps will go a long way to determining his potential draft position. Given the depth of this draft class, it's hard to see him going higher than late 20s. Probably make more in college next year. Argument might be to start the contract "clock," but the chances of him being a long term high-end earner in the NBA are slim.

    We got one, but it appears they're too worried about backlash to do it regularly. Jeff closed down the Mavs thread because I kept bashing on Luka. That doesn't change the fact that Luka sucks. As a lifetime Lakers fan, I can't stand his fatness. Rather have Nick Van Exel at point.

    He's not going to make much of a difference in 2026 in football. That's our best chance to win it all with Arch. It's better for him personally and Texas to concentrate on baseball. He can seriously contribute to a title there.

    Luka sucks and Lakers suck now. I don't want to hear bout college football being great now. It sucks! Bunch of 23-24 year olds playing against teenagers. It's pure BS. This crap would be like watching Kobe playing against Duke in 2002. Guy had been the best player in the world since 2000. None of these crap CFP players are that good, but it doesn't change the principle. I'd rather watch women's basketball than a bunch of mid 20s guys play for a CFP national championship.
