    Gerry we still an interview with Raja Bell where you ask him what Kobe and Iverson actually said to each other while talking trash at the end of game 2 of the 2001 NBA Finals. He was standing by. Kobe guarded Iverson. Raja guarded Kobe. We also need to know what it was like when Kobe hit not one, but two buzzer beaters on Raja in the same game when Raja played for the Suns in the 2006 NBA playoffs. After the OT buzzer beater the crowd was chanting MVP (a knock on Nash) and the Lakers were playing We Will Rock You by Queen on the loud speakers.

    The Mitchell deal will be a good test case for the SEC. Same with Kohler at BYU for the Big 12. Goober boys played in the NBA summer league and were therefore absolutely paid by and on NBA teams. No different than Kobe and LeBron playing in summer league.

    The NCAA is actually doing fairly well legally in these eligibility cases. They have won numerous stays against local, cracker jack judges in the last month. Kiffin and Will Wade are about to get their butts handed to them. Louisiana will be reaffirmed as the armpit of America.

    It's quite amusing to watch various fan bases come up with reasons why the contract their guy signed or the roster list he appeared on aren't really contracts or real roster lists.

    Hey @Gerry Hamilton. Kobe Bryant is widely considered the best point-of-attack and perimeter defender in NBA history, earning 9 NBA All-Defensive First Team selections and 3 Second Team selections (12 total) for his elite defense. He locked down players as diverse as Allen Iverson and Jason Kidd to Tracy McCrady and LeBron James.

    Let's talk trash and kick ass boys. This is for Matthew. Kobe told the Sixers he was coming back to his hometown Philly to "cut their hearts out" prior to the Lakers coming back to Philadelphia to win all three games against the loser Iverson Sixers in June 2001. He backed it up and did it. That's what we need here.

    Just back from hog huntin again this morning, boys. Took the dogs for the hogs and got three in the dry creek bottom. They're hangin now. I guess I'll have to part em out in a few hours because it going up to 103 and I can't let him sit all day.

    It's sad though. The good will Pope established is now greatly diminished. He couldn't play for the Longhorns, but he wasn't forced to be an Aggie. It's business, but that needs to be the response to him in the future now as well.
