  1. Rest easy boys. We got 'em. Goobers who like uniforms or don't like to work for playing time don't matter. We ain't hurting.
  2. If Pettijohn took it as a personal insult that Nansen went after Faraimo, or he is upset about a guaranteed role, specific amount of playing time, whatever, then things other than winning football and competition are driving the bus, and you don't need that, even if you don't get Faraimo. It could just be that he likes other schools more. Regardless, it seems obvious to me that Sark is sticking to his principles even if that means losing out on some high level recruits. He's shown that he will get really good players. He also shown he can make them into a really good team. Let him keep rolling with it.
  3. As a general rule, you can't avoid recruiting a player because someone else you are currently recruiting doesn't like it. Nansen knows what he's doing.
  4. I didn't know about the tragic murder of Del Conte's father.
  5. It seems like Pettijohn started drifting away as soon as Nansen went after Faraimo.
  6. Pretty good write up about Del Conte by Ross Dellenger at Yahoo Sports. https://sports.yahoo.com/its-bigger-and-it-just-means-more-texas-jump-to-the-sec-shows-how-much-college-sports-is-about-to-change-115835101.html
  7. Any idiot who makes a decision on a uniform deserves what they get.
  8. Problem is the criminal sooners won more big 12 titles than you.
  9. Chill nothing. You can't get caught off guard. You think Henry Kissinger was ever caught off guard by the Soviets, Chinese or anyone else? Hell no. Guy had it down to the period, including threating the Soviet Union with nuclear destruction in October 1973 . That's what we gotta have. There ain't no second place finish here. It's true no one player is the end all be all (despite what our guys say about it), but you can't get your ass whipped by a second class state over and over without suffering down the road.
  10. Abbott better talk to Elon Musk about tax breaks. There's no way in hell Oregon can outspend Texas.
  11. Time for Sark to go Michael Corleone on them now.
  12. Might be another Aggies 2022 deal for Oregon. Sounds good getting a bunch of five stars, but having them develop and actually win gams for you is another thing.
  13. You gotta believe that the rest of the nation was caught off guard by Oregon's spending spree here. Can't tell me the Longhorns can't spend more if they really want to.
  14. Can Oregon keep breaking the bank?
  15. Gerry, it's more Kobe.
  16. Michael Cooper was drafted number 60 by the Lakers in 1978. As I said, Jerry West didn't waste picks.
  17. I think JJ Redick will be calling LeBrick daddy in the huddle.
  18. I've been a Lakers fan for almost 50 years, but the Lakers have been stupid since Dr. Buss passed away. It's just bush league nonsense. It's not that big of a deal in terms of the fact you weren't getting anyone anyway, but it's symptomatic of the rot in the organization.
  19. The video was AI generated. It's not real. Think about it. Lakers GM wouldn't say that about LeBrick even if it was true.
  20. That's a fake video. They didn't draft him in the first round, as was pointed out. Yeah, it was stupid, but the Lakers have been stupid for years now.
  21. Do you have the quote from the Lakers GM on this? No doubt it's stupid, but that's not the same thing as the GM publicly saying LeBrick made him do it.
  22. I never played against any great players, including me. I dunked and thought I was good, but truth is we all sucked.
  23. Gerry, more Kobe, Ask CJ. Can't kick any more ass than this.
  24. I know this Longhorns stuff, but the balliest quote I've ever heard is Henry Kissinger telling the dictator of the Soviet Union Leonid Brezhnez face to face in Moscow in October 1973 during the Yom Kippur War that if the Soviet Union puts troops on the ground in Israel, the United State will nuke the hell out of the Soviet Union.
