    If Pettijohn took it as a personal insult that Nansen went after Faraimo, or he is upset about a guaranteed role, specific amount of playing time, whatever, then things other than winning football and competition are driving the bus, and you don't need that, even if you don't get Faraimo. It could just be that he likes other schools more. Regardless, it seems obvious to me that Sark is sticking to his principles even if that means losing out on some high level recruits. He's shown that he will get really good players. He also shown he can make them into a really good team. Let him keep rolling with it.

    As a general rule, you can't avoid recruiting a player because someone else you are currently recruiting doesn't like it. Nansen knows what he's doing.

    Chill nothing. You can't get caught off guard. You think Henry Kissinger was ever caught off guard by the Soviets, Chinese or anyone else? Hell no. Guy had it down to the period, including threating the Soviet Union with nuclear destruction in October 1973 . That's what we gotta have. There ain't no second place finish here. It's true no one player is the end all be all (despite what our guys say about it), but you can't get your ass whipped by a second class state over and over without suffering down the road.

    I've been a Lakers fan for almost 50 years, but the Lakers have been stupid since Dr. Buss passed away. It's just bush league nonsense. It's not that big of a deal in terms of the fact you weren't getting anyone anyway, but it's symptomatic of the rot in the organization.

    Do you have the quote from the Lakers GM on this? No doubt it's stupid, but that's not the same thing as the GM publicly saying LeBrick made him do it.

    I know this Longhorns stuff, but the balliest quote I've ever heard is Henry Kissinger telling the dictator of the Soviet Union Leonid Brezhnez face to face in Moscow in October 1973 during the Yom Kippur War that if the Soviet Union puts troops on the ground in Israel, the United State will nuke the hell out of the Soviet Union.
