  1. Past hour
  2. Today’s countdown spot belongs to the best Longhorns to wear No. 43, led by defensive end Kalen Thornton. Thornton played at Texas from 2000–03, appearing in 46 games with 35 starts. He finished his career with 155 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and 75 quarterback pressures. He earned Freshman All-American honors in 2000, was named honorable mention All-Big 12 in 2003 and was selected as Texas’ Outstanding Defensive End following his senior season. Also representing No. 43 is linebacker Jett Bush. The former walk-on earned a scholarship in 2020 and went on to play in 58 career games with six starts. Bush recorded 60 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and three sacks over his final four seasons. His biggest moment came in 2023 when he returned an interception 43 yards for a touchdown against Texas Tech during the Longhorns’ Big 12 championship season. 43 days to go, y'all.
  3. For some reason, I thought this was going to be the Big 10 and Big 12 demanding 24 teams make it to Omaha. 😉
  4. Today
  5. It’s funny our players go to the media day and just make a very good showing. Well spoken, thoughtful answers. LSU players starts in about how players don’t make enough money and they need more NIL money yada yada. We aren’t the same.
  6. Colin Simmons value to the team goes beyond his talent; he's an outstanding human being, caring but strong-willed. That kind of inert leadership spreads through a team and unifies it.
  7. Jeff, that's the quintessential key, isn't it? Places like the 40 acres are fairly eye-opening the first time you look at them; other places have to rely on different tactics to corral players, IMO.
  8. Cole Pittman RIP! Jeffcoat had a great senior year.
  9. Jeff, I agree. If you negatively recruit, it's got to make one wonder why you can't just sell your program. Why are you so concerned about the competitor across the road?
  10. I think adding more player interviews like Goosby’s is a solid idea, and I’ve been keeping an eye on player stats through LaLiga 2 resultados y calendario for my own football tracking. It works well for following match schedules and scores, so it might give you ideas for structuring a player segment or schedule viewer tool on OTF.
  11. Pittman will always be my 44. I agree with Jeff H. Bobbino is two.
  12. Lol you charted that like Simmons is about to request clearance from Air Traffic Control
  13. DeAyala 1981: 12 sacks DeAyala 1982: 22.5 sacks Simmons 2025: 12 sacks Simmons 2026: ? I see what you did there the Legendary Jeff Howe.
  14. I'm shocked you didn't bring up Colorado to defend him, but wow—three whole games against the rest of his mediocre career. The way his career went and ended says more about him than three games at Texas. He was a mediocre quarterback.
  15. I was always curious about his pro career. His production was excellent. From what I recall his combine/pro day numbers were solid. Why did it take awhile to get the surgery?
  16. @Jeff Howe, you obviously weren't in the stadium for the loss to KU. ...or maybe you were, but I definitely did not need to experience that game, much less in person on the 20 yd line of the southwest side of DKR where KU scored the OT 2pt conversion. Having said all that, beating KSU that next game was one of Sark's best moments. I was so pissed about another loss to KU that I still haven't actually watched that KSU game, I only listened on radio that day, doing November yard work.
  17. Bishop was already going to train with the WR group this fall.
  18. With the addition of Meredith, does Texas move Bishop back to working with the WRs or will he still train at DB?
  19. I have used Vonlane for both my mother and mother-in-law and they both loved traveling with Vonlane. Mark Saunders -Allstate Agent Office: 512-218-8571
  20. Was told Marcus Spears Jr. had a terrific day And the team had their best workout of the summer today
  21. No on best corner class ever at Texas… probably won’t even end up being close being 100
