OTF Premium Texas basketball scrimmage …
harveycmd replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Watching Florida lose an exhibition game to Baylor was comical. That team literally can't shoot. Some of the worst offense I've ever seen. If they are the best team in the country (they clearly aren't), college basketball is in a bad place. -
Sark Malpractice - Going for it on 4 and 1 right before Half

At the time, I thought he regretted the decision from the week before, adressed it in practice, and it was a reasonable challenge to his unit. Reflecting on it during the game, I'd much rather have used my D for field position and clock management. But I was trusting the D at that point in the game. Now seeing his answer, its baffling to say play design was a factor in failing. That's what last week - and the off-season including the portal - were for. It make all of the above moot and makes the season and program not only about a lower ceiling, but lower floor.

If that time calls for KJ, then by all means let him give it a go. But calling for him to start over Arch Manning with Ole Miss coming to town is just not smart. Why put the fate of the season on a backup QB who has never played true competition in real time? I get replacing Arch mid way through the game if nothing changes from Arch to try to get something going for the offense, but willing throwing him in the fire and expecting results fast is just wishful thinking. I’m not saying I’m disagreeing that arch isn’t playing good whatsoever, but we cannot pressure another QB change and expect results. Same thing happened with Quinn and Arch and look how that turned out. I remember people calling for Arch because Quinn couldn’t navigate the pocket like him or like he could the years before, same thing is happening to Arch. You don’t just regress after two seasons just because. This is a coaching problem that needs fixing. -

Back up QB is always the most popular guy on the campus. These same idiots wanted to bench quinn for arch. 🤷🏾♂️😂 -

2024 and 2025 Arch had that ability. Idk what this 2026 dude is doing We don't need to get goofy and rewrite history and pretend Arch has always played like this or never exhibited any more ability than what we're currently seeing. That said, I still wanna see KJ Lacey -
Herkie Walls was legis as well

Give Milwee or Bimonte or even both a chance to call the plays from now on. Leave Sarks scheme and concepts just let one of them call the plays. Maybe changing the gut instinct of the play caller and having the OC in the press box calling the plays will work. Sark can still have input and be more of a QB coach on the sidelines to help Arch make adjustments by having more time to analyze a drive/play instead of looking down at his call sheet or thinking of what play to call next.

I remember similar things said about Quinn and Arch being the one who could step up to make that throw. - Today

It's not about "limited snaps or bad competition" It's about the eye test of a QB with active feet and a basic competence of how to move in the pocket. Yes, KJ Lacey has exhibited that every time we've seen him. -

No silver bullet fix with this team offensively. Would like to see some new faces on the o-line. -

We know that how about KJ? From the limited snaps against bad competition? Not disagreeing on the Arch criticism at all but the belief that KJ can do things we’ve never seen is also wild. -

This particular play is still on Arch in my opinion. A QB is supposed to have the pocket awareness to step up, glide and make that easy wide open throw to Moseley. Arch just stands there and gets pressured into throwing a worthless pass to Coleman out of bounds. KJ Lacey definitely would have had the ability to maneuver in the pocket and make that throw -

This is outlandish. This has to be one of the most basic reads as an O-lineman. This is literally just a LB blitzing right in your face. How do they not check this between Arch, center and the rest of the line? Why is Cojoe's head completely turned away from a guy right in his face? Why does he have no awareness or reaction time? This is offensive to watch
