The Longhorns continue to be in position to earn the flip of the 4-star prospect out of the Houston area. OTF can also report, that is not the only expected official visit that weekend.

If he won’t be fired maybe reassignment to special teams and get another OL coach. -

This has nothing to do with "scheme." It's simple inside and outside zone blocking. The Texas OL are just not making blocks. Movement, stunts, delayed loops, run blitzes, and all the other non-conventional defensive maneuvers are confusing them. Plus, they push like marshmallows and don't move a soul. No clever scheme in the world is going to fix that at this point in the season with the same players. Unless Sark gets rid of his zone guru and hires an OL coach who can actually teach gap and assignment blocking, and how to be physical and move people, his offenses will keep sputtering and get broken down on the side of the road. -

I agree, but outside of Georgia---almost every SEC school is complaining about their Oline, their OL coach and limited run game -
In theory, yes, but you’ve got five problems: 1. How long will Texas be without Wingo and Coleman? 2. The offensive line couldn’t pass protect collectively with Goosby and it’s worse without him. 3. Arch’s clock is off and there are only so many hits he can absorb before something bad happens. 4. You won’t win on the road against quality competition in the SEC without something resembling a competent running game. 5. The offense has issues that won’t get fixed this season. The only solutions are the kinds of changes that are made in the offseason.

Regardless of the season outcome this year. Flood has been unable to coach and produce INTERIOR OL. He gets a pass on TACKLES but the trend of the run game regressing over the years is on him and sark! The scheme might be too complex for the players to learn and understand and thats why I feel like they prioritize seniority in the program instead of playing the best player. -

The “success” we had previous to the last 3 seasons was heavily reliant on poorer competition (Monster Energy Big 12 Conf) and our back(s) being some of the best we have seen in a decade. The O line was bad back then too. -

Poor talent acquisition, poor development and never coming close to replacing Herman’s RBs, TEs or Jake Majors and you end up with this: -

Sark and Flood are besties. He's not going anywhere. Just get that thought out of your head, because it won't happen. Perhaps he could bring in an assistant to help with the O-Line. Something needs to be done. If it weren't for Arch being able to run, no way would a quarterback last a season. -

Yep it’s like Kirk Ferentz retaining his son Brian Ferentz to be Iowa’s OC. They still won games in spite of that, but the change clearly needed to be made. -

Even if we make it to the playoffs, he needs to be fired. His offensive line is offensive, indeed. -
And because of this, the program will be stuck in limbo until Sark gets canned or leaves on his own for the NFL. But he will win enough games to give the fanbase hope. Dallas Cowboys syndrome. If Sark were a real one, he would tear the entire offensive operation down and rebuild it from scratch by hiring a “HC of the Offense” and allowing that guy to select his own offensive staff.

If Texas somehow doesn’t get into the playoffs for the second straight season because they can’t establish a run game, Flood needs to be let go. It boggles my mind how this problem has gone on for as long as it has. It’s been three seasons since Texas has had consistent success in the run. Why is that? The athletes are most likely better than they were. Is it the scheming just not meshing nine weeks into the season? I mean how is it possible to have thirteen yards of rushing from running backs alone in the first half. That’s scary man. Why isn’t it working? I honestly don’t care if Texas ends up winning it all, I don’t want to see another three million dollar receiver or running back tandem be wasted. I need a 5 million dollar interior line, especially at center. I don’t like being pessimistic about this team because it’s our team, but at some point you have to be real, and if I’m being real this team is the most bipolar running unit in the country. Please Texas make me eat my words.

The problem with the offense is the line. It's mind blowing how bad we are in the middle. I'm not sure there's much else to say about it. Say what you will about Arch but he is one tough SOB. He got beat up last night but he kept getting up. There aren't many QBs that could play behind this line and still keep getting up and running at the teeth of the defense. He has his flaws but I would never question his heart. Defense is playing out of this world. No other way to put it
