IF we play ND schedule we are in. If we play Indiana schedule we are in, if we play Oregon schedule we are in, we play TT schedule we are in. you get the point. 2 losses is what matters, not who the loss is to Edited 21 hours ago by TheContractor12 2 Quote

They’re not supposed to be punished for a championship loss, just like we’re not supposed to be punished for playing big early season games. Plus they lost to an FSU team that got smoked by the FL team we lost to and beat by OU who we also beat. I just posted a topic talking about this, crazy world man gonna be sick when Bama gets in over us. 1 Quote

Ryanw Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago as a season ticket holder i dont want any crap home games. would much rather see a big match up like ohio state. gotta start winning them. Also lets be honest this team was never running the table in the play offs 2 Quote

Going forward there is no point to these games and the goal should make the playoff. we already have the #5 SOS in the country, teams outside top 50 will get in. 1 Quote

At first I really wanted these games but If losing them doesn't give you any wiggle room for games in the business section of your season than cancel them. Why bother playing them just so the NCAA can have big marquee games to market to the big networks. I'd rather be 10-2 than 9-3 and have ourselves a spot. Because that's what it comes down to, imo. If we still had the Florida and Georgia losses, they wouldn't be holding them against us. So I now agree with the sentiment, as much as I like the big game match ups, you lose more than you benefit. yes, be 10-2 and now we can go play ohio state in the playoffs. but we would be in. 1 Quote

whereiend Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago If we're not ranked above OU and Vandy on Tuesday I'll be calling on the AD on Wednesday to ask them to cancel this game along with Michigan and ND. Everyone please join! I don't want Texas playing with one hand behind its back in the playoff race. It is idiotic. We need to play Indiana and Ole Miss style schedules like the committee wants us to. 5 Quote
Burnt Orange Horn Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A lot of chickenshit casual takes in here. 🤦🏼♂️ anOSU will be a great start to 2026!! 🏈🤘🏻🏈🤘🏼🏈🤘🏈🤘🏽🏈🤘🏾🏈🤘🏿🏈 Quote
ChanmanV Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I agree. The committee is dictating that all they care about is loss count. We already play a 9 game SEC schedule. We don't need more SOS so high profile non-conference games are just for the TV networks. You know what make us more money? Making the playoffs and winning championships and we risk that continuing the dice roll non-conference games. 2 Quote
SB21 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Keep the game. Go win it next year and fast track ourselves to the playoffs while not losing to an unranked team next year. Thats the solution. Just win the ones that were supposed to and don’t get blown out if we aren’t picked to win. 1 Quote

This is where is matters moving forward. 9 SEC games a year is brutal but equates to elite SOS each year. Big non-con games aren't needed now and are really more of a risk in the current CFP format. 1 Quote

That's because the big 12 was weak, and we needed a quality win to help our case. That doesn't matter at all now that we are in the SEC. The level of competition is so much higher. 1 Quote
PaulieD Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago The previous post(s) about cupcake scheduling hit the nail on the head, IMO - the networks won't stand for it. I grew up watching the OSU - Michigan, Texas - OU, and Alabama - Auburn games, and I have no skin in the game. Networks want to extend this to OOC games to Get the same results with folks watching a true marquee matchup. Quote
