The first offer extended by new Texas running backs coach goes to DeSoto RB SaRod Baker.

Baker is in the midst of one of the most impressive UIL State Playoff runs in recent memory and has in turn earned offers from Ohio State, Colorado and Oregon.

Love it...nice lateral movement, great balance, not great long speed but Bijan didn't have that in high school either.  I would love to see what a couple of years in a college S and C program will do for this kid.

Few caught him when he got a step so not so sure on “pads on” long speed being anything short of an asset.

I just looked him up for his 2025 track season and he ran an 11.5 100 m.

My point was that this is the kind of kid that might get to Texas and start working out and become actually fast to go with his skills already.  He is clearly a great running back.
