Burnt Orange Horn Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Still too early. Winter workouts have barely commenced. 3 Quote
LonghornFan4Ever Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Must win game for Texas given the difficulty of their 9 game SEC schedule. If they lose, there’s a really good chance they go 9-3 and miss the CFP again unless it expands to 16 or 24 teams. A win gives them much more margin for error. 4 Quote
Austalgia Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) We beat them. They cry a lot. Edited 5 hours ago by Austalgia 2 Quote

Glass Joe Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Ohio State’s defense was gutted by graduations and early NFL entries. They lose 7 starters, including 4 NFL first rounders…and all 4 played in the middle of the defense (Caleb Downs, Arvell Reese, S.Styles, and K. McDonald). Add losing both starting CBs, and one can see Arch / Cam / Wingo doing a lot of damage and scoring a bunch of points. On the flip side, Ohio State returns 8 starters on offense, including 4 OL. They have Sayin, J.Smith, and Bo Jackson as headliners at the skill positions (but also lose Carnell Tate and Max Klare). They will score some points on our defense too. Take the over. Texas wins 38-24. 3 Quote
Texas fan in Georgia Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Call me crazy… but I think Texas makes a statement in this game and sark leaves no doubt. The plus side to this is the fact we get a game to get our feet wet instead of just walking into the fire right out of the gate. Way too early prediction is 35-17 4 Quote
Mark Futrell Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I agree with all the points above. I would like to add that I think it is Huge that this will be the 2nd game of the year versus coming out of the gate in '25. I don't think it can be under estimated the impact of a Test Run for Sark, Arch and the skilled Players on Offense and then of course on Defense Muschamps and Gideon get a Game with The Leader wearing the Green Dot under their Belt. And it all gets to be done at Home! Hook'em!!! 4 Quote

TexasMDcoach Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago No idea. This will depend on how quickly all these new faces can be melded into a real team. I think Sark can accomplish this, but it is hard to maintain culture when key pieces and leaders drift off to other teams. It will take much work, but I think we have the substrate to form a championship team. 1 Quote

Bunk Moreland Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Their defense was really, really good this year. They lose a lot of ELITE playmakers. I think we will move the ball on them. I also think Muschamp will have some things ready for them that they haven’t seen. Just like we went into the game against Patricia blind last year, we have a bit of the same advantage since it’s been so long since Muschamp was a DC. I also think home field advantage will make a difference. This feels like a statement game to me. 2 Quote
4thandFive Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago As others have said, it’s important that this is game 2. Starting the season last year at Columbus was a disaster. The OL, Arch, and the running game were not nearly ready for prime time that early. 2 Quote
Breezey A LH4LIFE Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Ohio state will be good again. They reload. Pierce and the LB from Wisconsin will be dudes. Saiyan, Chris Henry, Jackson, and smith on offense. It will be a shootout. Muschamp got to get pressure on saiyan. Gone be a hell of a game. Need sark to pull it off Quote
utx2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If ncaa doesn’t expand the amount of teams in playoffs it will be a very big game and an unnecessary game. Both school should reschedule after the expansion takes place. IMO playing this game with the current format is not a benefit for winning a championship. Schedule a small school and prep for the SEC schedule. Quote
