Crazy to think none of this would even be a conversation if we had just held onto John Mills a little over a year ago.

He has been outstanding as an OL for Washington and he was only a 3-Star recruit.

will be another lost season and a waste of a ton of money on skill talent

Well I take it you won't be watching or posting anymore since the season is over 8 months before it starts..

How Sark completely fumbled the ball on the OL again is beyond me.  What is worse is that he showed the door to half the OL.  We have all the skilled talent in the world, but without a functional OL it is

All i hear is a bunch of crying.... this is beyond ridiculous.... obviously none of you fans could do the damn job yourself. Everyone wants to put in their 2 cents,  and the penny is obsolete. Hook'em

failure of the staff and anyone falling for the young player development BS is just setting themselves up for failure. Yes young guys can develop but not guaranteed and on arch last year you need pretty close to guaranteed to make sure we are natty contenders.

Texas parked itself at the top of the offensive line market and never really came down. When true difference makers didn’t enter or agents couldn’t get deals across the finish line, the staff chose to keep aiming high instead of pivoting to what was readily available. That wasn’t disorganization, it was intentional. But intentional bets still have consequences. The interior OL market was thin from the jump, home programs did a solid job holding their ground.

I have a hard time believing they exhausted all avenues and landed at status quo minus Nate Kibble and Nick Brooks.

They gained Baker on the inside, but it certainly seems like the strategy is to get on your knees, bend over and pray

Most fans do not throw in the towel 8 months before the first game is played.

Extreme mismanagement if it only played out that way

there were multiple guard entrants that would upgrade what we currently have

they chose not to pick up any of those guys

that’s a mismanaged situation

If you weren’t aware, there were only 3 guys drafted last year as Centers.  Just how many teams do you think have bonafide hits?

Arch was pretty solid at making one defender miss all throughout the season.

Do not go 10-3 with one of the toughest schedules without a decent O line. All I heard all year was how great Aggie and OU D were and pass rush. How did they do against our so called failure O line.?

With no spring game and no one allowed to watch practice except for a15 minute press viewing window, how do any of us know the actual progress of guys like the Colemans and Jackson Christian?  Sure, we need at least one more experienced guard, but there sure is a lot of speculation and angst over a situation that none of us control.  Lots of folks here farting in the whirlwind.

So what exactly does it mean when you say they are gonna waste another season?  That is throwing in the towel to me.

Remember: it is against the rules to talk logically in a portal thread.

You have no clue what the staff is doing, so it's pretty comical that you are declaring failure.

You and I may well have differing opinions about how we got there, but there were positives.  Going in to next year, our roster is in good shape.  The TE pickup may be greatly underappreciated.
