Be careful out there, my next door neighbor was just taken away by the EMS after slipping outside on the ice- possible broken hip.  The first EMS truck spun out and got stuck around the corner.  The 2nd ambulance came and parked on the street behind us, came through their yard, then our backyard, and then around our the fence to our neighbors.  Then they carried our neighbor on a stretcher in the reverse route.  Good thing they had 4 guys to do it.

We got as much as 6+ inches of ice around the Monroe area. I haven’t had power since Friday around 2. Hoping to get it back by end of this week. 
 

Luckily I don’t have very much damage. Tree limbs fell on the side and did some minor stuff but nothing like some of my friends had happen where a tree fell into their living room. One buddy had to call 911 because he was trapped.

About 20 years ago I lived in Dallas and my neighbor across the street was from Sydney. He ended up selling Mercedes Benz automobiles in Texas...a great guy who was very " Aussie."

Couldn't get a picture because i was driving but saw someone maybe doing one of the dumbest things on record.  Drove by a house just now and a guy was outside spraying down his driveway trying to clear the snow/ice off, failing miserably might i add....Low tonight is 23...
