Makes sense, they needed a comeback to beat Georgia and then lost to Georgia with the offense being pretty anemic.  The pitching was not dominant either, and that's including Kavan getting run off in game 1.  The good news is they have time to fix their issues, however a double bye for the SEC tournament might be out of the picture.

Last year they showed that winning the SEC was not needed to win it all; hopefully they can do it again.  WCWS is where they need to be locked in.

Team is in terrible batting slump!

Freshmen, besides maybe Wells, are really struggling. And, Reese is slumping.

Mike White really needs to think about his portal philosophy and bring in talent next year. Every team uses the portal to improve, besides Texas, and they’re passing Texas. Mike White can’t keep relying on High School recruiting and development.

Sorely missing Mia Scott and Jolie Mitchell's bat right now.  Hopefully they pull out of the slump come WCWS because if they can't provide some runs, Kavan's going to have to put on another 0.00 ERA performance for a chance at the trophy again.

The hitting coach last year took a job as a head coach, this year’s coach came from ole miss I believe, they started off hot but have been in a massive slump the last few weeks.

I dunno who ou’s hitting coach is but they are good.

JT Gasso is Oklahoma’s hitting coach. 
 

Earleywine actually has a highly successful track record as an offensive specialist and during his one season at Ole Miss, helped the team reach its first-ever WCWS. Under his direction, the offense broke nearly every single-season program record including runs, hits, and doubles. Ole Miss is 2nd to last in the SEC this season. 

Stewart and Goode are both hitting better than last year. Maloney and Atwood are not. Martinez has improved from 2024. Henry’s batting average is currently .400; it was .409 last year.

I am concerned with the lack of production from all the freshmen besides Wells. If you’re not going to use the portal in favor of high school recruiting and development, players better be ready to go. I am not impressed and I truly hope White re-evaluates his beliefs on the portal. We need experience and production next year!

Outside of Kavan the pitching has been a disappointment.
