He's not shooting it as much as he did last year at Cincinnati or his sophomore season at Texas. Still, 3.0 assists per game are a career high and 2.1 stocks (steals plus blocks) per game is right where he's been in his career.

The outside shot never came (he's 0-for-14 from three this season).

Purdue and Michigan State were the easy ones for me. Man times have changed.

Compare that to MSU or Duke... heck, even Houston or Alabama.

meaning re Texas. Could care less about Purdue... 

That said, Texas is actually ranked ahead of Purdue in this list of best programs all time:

My point though was, Texas can/should outcompete Purdue as a basketball school.
