harveycmd Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago The good news here is that men's basketball should regain the spotlight in Austin next season. 1 1 Quote

I am among the biggest fans of Longhorn women's hoops on here and was perplexed when the three entered the portal. But after a few days of doing my research, and a confidante within the program's analysis, I just figured it was time to focus on the positive. What are those? An amazing coaching staff, a head coach who wins, 5 incredible incoming recruits, and a rabid, loyal fan base. I am looking forward to next year. However, there still might be a surprise recruit or two knocking on our door. Recruit(s)? So more freshmen?!? Texas needs more 1-2 portal players with experience, not more freshmen. This team is already too young. Edited 5 hours ago by TexasEx_10 Quote

HonkEm Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I was frustrated too when the departures happened, but it’s really not doom‑and‑gloom. The portal deadline just means players had to enter by that date - they can still choose schools now. There are still plenty of proven players available, and Texas is an attractive landing spot with Booker, a top recruiting class, and a staff that wins. Would I prefer experienced portal players over more freshmen? Absolutely. And that’s exactly what the staff should be targeting. It’s not too late, and it’s not a failure - it’s just the new reality of roster building. I’m confident Texas will add the right pieces. 3 Quote

TexasEx_10 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Tennessee is back in it for Oliviyah Edwards. Her camp is looking for $500,000. I expect her to go to the highest bidder. Quote
harveycmd Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Given that WCBB loses money, how can teams be stupid enough to pay 500k for a player? Who makes these decisions? Quote

Califashorn75 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The key was family. She missed her family. Coach Vic was hard on her because she only played inspired ball in spurts. He wanted her to be like Rori. Even Booker takes plays off. Quote

You can coach hard all day long, but these kids aren't going to understand that. 2 Quote

You realize most coaches in WBB are tough, right? Mulkey, Geno, Staley, Lawson. Look at the men’s side. This is only a topic because it’s WBB. 1 1 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago South Carolina is going to be tough as nails annually. Signing Olivia Edwards was quite a coup. But there are plenty of talented players out there and we will get more than our share! Quote

He doesn't owe anyone an apology. Would Kobe Bryant expect less? No way. He had 10 year olds learning the triangle for God's sake. 1 Quote
texcoyote15 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Vic isn’t going to soften up. What he’s been doing has been really successful. We can go back to a softer coach and lose about 15 games per year. I don’t think anyone on here would want that. Everyone doesn’t adjust well to hard coaching. All the top coaches in WBB coach hard so these players need to give it alot of thought before they decide to go somewhere. I personally don’t care about turnover. I like going to the Elite Eight/ Final Four every year. Some of these recruits coming in won’t be here in a year. It’s just reality. Quote

I'm suggesting that he should adjust. Two Final Fours are great. That semi-final against UCLA was one of the worst games I've ever seen. 1 Quote
