From a completely nonpartisan perspective (as he attacks and boosts folks from all parties), is OTF comfortable continuing to have Adam Loewy, who has become one of the most politically charged commentators on the internet, as a core sponsor? I mean this with no disrespect to OTF at all, but given the site’s commitment to avoiding politics this seems antithetical to that notion.

why do you care so much? he's a diehard Longhorn and a fan of this site and chooses to help Bobby fund. so, you don't agree with his politics. I agree there might a line where one can go too far but he criticizes both sides but I don't think he's crossed that line. he's more of a moderate than anything. moderates have no home sadly. extreme one way or the other. sucks for people in the middle. the game is hate right now - be nice when then era ends. don't take things so seriously. be kind and be a good neighbor.

It’s not that I don’t agree with his politics - some things he says I do agree with, some I don’t. It is the mere fact that his account is pure politics - the complete opposite of OTF’s goal. I realize he is not posting it on the site, but the extremely close connection with OTF certainly creates an association between who Adam is and the site as a whole.

I’m not speaking for Bobby, but he pays to advertise his law firm not his politics. He’s not having us read ads to support political measures or candidates.

What he does on his personal account on social media is his business.

Completely comfortable.

I’m well aware that folks have political opinions in their everyday lives. We have folks who advertise who live on the other side of the aisle, too.

As long as we don’t bring political opinions here, I have no issue.

As a trial lawyer, he speaks for people who can’t speak for themselves.  If he sponsors the website—great. He is not on here making political statements. He is making those statements on his public account.   This is a free country and he is exercising his rights.  If you disagree with his views that is also what makes America great. Censoring someones views because you don’t agree with them, or trying to get them removed as a sponsor is what is starting to make our country not so great.  Try to find some common ground with his viewpoints and understand them—maybe your passion for the Longhorns can be the start of that journey.

This is utterly reasonable, and why most of us respect the hell out of you and your approach to running this business.
