exactly....A Lubbock alumni reunion in robes doesn’t control national eligibility, and it won’t stop the NCAA from pushing for an expedited hearing or dropping the forfeiture hammer if they need to. All this does is make Tech look even more desperate.

It’s honestly pathetic. To be so nakedly ambitious and amoral on such a public, national stage—there’s no coming back from this for Tech in the court of public opinion. They’ve sold their collective souls.

These conditions are vague and how would you measure if they’re not met? If he doesn’t participate in the programs listed below satisfactorily then this injunction is revoked?! What a farce.

It won’t.

No matter what, this will be a long term loss for Tech. They are now the face of selfishly placing one football season over the health of all of college athletics. How many players are going to want to play for you when 99% of the public is against you? And now can you trust the players who do commit?
What a stupidly short sighted move by Tech and Campbell.

College sports are done if this holds. If you can bet on games you play in there will be so many games thrown. It's over.....

Hell ALL sports are done if it holds. Get busted for anything and go to court and get a injunction.

Putting an individual above rules of because the individual would personal harm is just dumb and stupid.

I would not be surprise if teams will be head hunting on sorsby when he play.

The NFL would not play around with this betting bs. I doubt he has much of a pro career if anything. Wouldn’t be surprised if he throws multiple games to rack in as much cash as he can this year

All I know is that Joey the Mouth can STFU forever with his feigned outrage over Sark’s comments, and Cody Campbell can take his faux patriotism and shove it. The two most cynical people in CFB right now, and that’s saying something.

No, the NCAA can’t ban Tech from the playoff over something that happened before he ever got there. That’s not how their bylaws work.

But they don’t need to. The NCAA has a much simpler hammer: if he’s ruled ineligible and Tech plays him anyway, every game he steps on the field becomes a forfeiture. That’s the real leverage, and it applies no matter what county courthouse tries to protect him.

Cmon NCAA, time to step up and do the right thing and do as you said above and make them forfeit. Otherwise it’s lawlessness!

I’m going to laugh until I wet myself when, sometime after the deadline to apply for the supplemental draft passes, the NCAA gets a stay on this injunction making the cheater ineligible.

I’m not one to doom, but this is the end of college sports.

I hope they don't cancel the World Series before Texas gets to play this weekend.
