4thandFive Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Man lol…this game is BANANAS. England goes up 2-0. Mexico gets one back and is attacking. England gets red card. Mexican goalie fouls England in the box and Kane makes it 3-1. BANANAS. 2 Quote

ArizonaLonghorn Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Dumb question from someone who doesn't watch much futbol When there's a foul in the box why doesn't the player who drew the foul take the penalty shot instead of a designated sniper? Just curious ... Quote

CoachScott619 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I wish there was a World Cup every year because it really makes waiting for football season a lot easier 🤘🏻 4 Quote

Yeah I know, but I was wondering why they did it that way instead of having the fouled player take the penalty kick. It would spread out the goal scoring and make the kick more exciting (lower percentage). 1 Quote

I don’t think it would make it any more exciting. Quote

harveycmd Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It's still soccer. There's not any time of the year that football, basketball or baseball isn't happening. Quote

If you mean every 2 years instead of 4, I mentioned earlier that Copa America and the EUROs happen every 4 years as well but it's situated 2 years from the World Cup. So every 2 years there's some type of international soccer competition that happens during the summer whether it's strictly Europe or South America or the World Cup. It's a little better than nothing for 3 years in between but you're still bored out of your mind for those 2 summers in between each competition. Quote

Oldest Horn Posted 1 minute ago Posted 1 minute ago Somebody needs to explain the whole extra time thing, from how it’s determined to how the extra time is kept. It sure looks like a mechanism for the officials to keep their thumbs on the scale. Quote
