One of the dumbest calls I have ever seen. Now he misses the next game. They better send that ref home because it was a horrible call. 2 Quote
CoachScott619 Posted July 2 Posted July 2 The ref was garbage I really hope we can appeal that red card. Took our best player out of the biggest game we've ever played on Monday. Quote
4thandFive Posted July 2 Posted July 2 TERRRRRRRIBLE red card. Balogun wasn’t even looking when his foot hit the ground. Absolutely wrong call. #IBelieveThatWeWillWin Quote
HonkEm Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Need to find a replacement for Pepi - USA gets the win, but we’ve got to stop pretending Pepi is the answer at striker. He’s a “right place, right time” guy who vanishes the second the match gets physical or requires someone to actually create something. He's not fooling anybody at the international level. 1 Quote
4thandFive Posted July 2 Posted July 2 They can appeal and it should get overturned…but I have no idea who reviews it and what the percentage is. But we won. And, more importantly, God loves you all (John 3:16). 2 Quote
tommym Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Isn't Balogun suspend for the next game with the red card, I might be wrong. Quote

TTown Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Yeah and no appeal possible I just read. Well at least time to adjust. Only fitting on our 250th , we are still playing. What a great job no matter what happens. Hope the WC fans enjoy our 4th celebrations , should be awesome. 2 Quote

If a guy lays down and cries long enough he can get a red card that wasn’t even bad enough for a yellow on the field. Calls like that remind me why I only watch soccer every 4 years. And he’s out the next game?? That’s wild. Similar to a football player faking an injury so the team can take a break, coaching directions, etc. Soccer players are drama queens. Quote
Califashorn75 Posted July 2 Posted July 2 There are great match ups today. Top 20 teams going at it. Quote
akrupa23 Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Why didn't the fans try throwing water bottles on the field to overturn the red card.... 1 Quote

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted July 2 Author Moderators Posted July 2 Should be a good match right now between Spain and Austria. Lamine Yamal on the big stage is exciting. 1 Quote

Yeah, I came across that after I posted it. It was such a bad call. I’m just hoping we take down Belgium so Balogun can lift us past either Spain/Portugal. #USA #CountryRoads 1 Quote
JR Smith Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Avid soccer watcher of a decade plus. This is the best the USA has ever looked but they'll get knocked out by Spain in the quarter finals. Very proud of team USA. Mexico may legitimately go farther which is crazy to me since the USA has been dog walking them the past couple of years lol but their home field advantage plus elevation have been unsurmountable for the opposition. 1 Quote
EHoff99 Posted July 3 Posted July 3 My World Cup Predictions the rest of the way Round of 32 Egypt def. Australia Argentina def. Cape Verde Colombia def. Ghana Round of 16 Morocco def. Canada France def. Paraguay Brazil def. Norway England def. Mexico Portugal def. Spain USA def. Belgium Argentina def. Egypt Switzerland def. Colombia Quarterfinals France def. Morocco Portugal def. USA England def. Brazil Argentina def. Switzerland Semifinals France def. Portugal Argentina def. England Finals France def. Argentina France gets revenge for 2022 and Mbappe establishes himself as the 2nd best World Cup player of all time, only 2nd to Pele. Was close to picking Norway over Brazil and Mexico over England. I could see those upsets happening. Spain vs Portugal is a toss up even though Portugal haven't looked that great. They were my preseason pick so I wanted them as least making a good run. France and Argentina just feel like the two best teams once again by a solid margin. 1 Quote
