They’re blameless, delicious treats that have been soiled by this Tech mess too. #FreeTheTilla! Also, Sorsby is a turd and Tech are cowards. They look like such fools to get played so hard by this kid. Couldn’t have happened to a better group. 3 2 Quote

cmk4pres Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago So is Cody Campbell still "upping the ante" or no...? 2 Quote
Roy Hinojosa Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I bet Tech and Campbell would have stood firm if it wasn't an election year. I'm sure all the political strategists were reading the reactions and saw that this was a loser to get behind. 1 Quote

HookedOnTF Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Tech cant buy a win on - or off - the field. Just a massive fail on their part and I love it. They used to be an entertaining opponent who had Aggie's #, but after we poached Beard, they've been insufferable. Quote
DiggsTX Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Good, @CJ Vogel has a type and I feared Sorsby was going to be his new Mateer before all this kicked off. Quote

harveycmd Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) This went as bad as it possibly could have for Tech. They incurred the ire of the entire sports world and then lost Sorsby anyway. It was pure hubris on the part of Campbell to think he could pull this off. There's a high probability that Sorsby will be denied entry into the supplemental draft or simply that no NFL team wants to take him. Fiasco all the way around. Edited 1 hour ago by harveycmd Quote
ribtips Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I lost a lot of respect for Cody Campbell and the rest of the Texas Tech admin responsible for this. I do believe Sorsby’s battles with gambling addiction are real and the young man needs help. What is despicable is how the Tech admin exploited his situation instead of just helping him. 2 Quote

True, if they really wanted to help the guy with his addiction, they would have told him, "Look, you can't play now, but we'll honor your NIL deal and help you out." That's not what they did. They put him in the worst situation by using him to make the entire sports world angry. Edited 1 hour ago by harveycmd 1 Quote
taxsaver Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago late night dump for the "media." Exhausted all trial baloons and Sorby has to face the music anyways. And Tech has even more to face. They overplayed their hand. ft Quote
.45s Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago What happened to all of the rhetoric by Tech about merely trying to help the poor young man? When they feel the heat they let him go? What a crock. It was never about helping Sorsby. It was all about helping Tech. 1 Quote

Nothing says helping a players mental health like Tech being a big/key part of having said players name drug through the mud for weeks in hopes of getting eligible, and then being a big/key part of dumping him when Texas Tech had their back against the wall. My guess is that a team will gamble on bringing him to camp (inadvertent play one words)and not worry about what transpired on the college level. It's business. Quote
