It wasn't hard to figure out, but it certainly could have been made more clear.

It would've made more sense to slide the DH into the 1 slot since the DH is batting for the pitcher.  Then all of the other positions would be slotted in their position number, except for SS and 3B which are listed out of order.

It’s a much deeper lineup than this years team. Having Larson and Pendergass 8,9 in the order really hurt. But pitching is what wins championships and we should be loaded on the mound.

It’s only a proposal at this time - it’ll be negotiated and you may see another lockout. The players are likely to be against it. It delays your start, meaning your first contract is later so you’re much older when you try to get your second contract.

I wonder why he didn’t have shoulder surgery right after the season if that is what was needed?  Or whatever surgery he needed.  
I know he was watching the draft but if he had to have surgery the MLB teams had the information on that.

I don't know the first thing about how this works, but maybe the delay was about who pays for it, and what infrastructure system the whole process happened in? Texas may not have wanted to invest in all that if he wasn't gonna help the team next year. But he didn't have a professional employer yet either. So he would have had to *shoulder the bill himself in order to do it in the 6 weeks between the end of the season and now?
