Note on Tyanthony Smith

As has been reported, linebacker Tyanthony Smith has missed recent practice time (non-injury). 

OTF was told it's in question if Tyanthony Smith will take part in the scrimmage. To add further, one source told OTF in the last few hours they don't expect Smith to take part in today's scrimmage.

I don’t want to be too quick to judge because I could be completely wrong but could he maybe not be taking the Muschamp harping well?

Not good and I had this in the back of my mind about how he might be feeling. If you deserve to start you should deserve to start. Nothing should be a given. This is why I believe Mack failed so frequently early on. He gave priority to favorites and tenured players. And I say that wishing he'll stay because he has played so well and still has so much upside.

What is known, missed recent practice time with non-injury. 

In question leading into the scrimmage if he’s taking part today.

Do you know what the non-injury reason is or waiting to disclose at a later time? Seems that would clear up a lot.

Probably wanted to be a shoe in started and doesn’t appreciate the competition from Cryer. He (probably) believes he should be among the leaders of the defense with Simmons and Jelani.

I was thinking the same thing. Dude doesn’t like the competition, if you want to start be the best.

You would think if it is play time/role related today would be the day to be out there to prove himself. So I’m optimistic it’s for a different reason

Feels like half the board already wrote the kid’s transfer announcement and the other half is diagnosing his mental state from a couple missed practices. We don’t even know if he’s suiting up today yet.

If he’s out there, this whole thread becomes “remember when we panicked for no reason.” If he’s not, then we’ll actually have something real to talk about.

Until then, maybe chill on the fan‑fiction storylines.
