WBGT stands for Wet-Bulb Globe Temperature. It is a type of weather measure that tells you how hot it feels outdoors. It looks at air temperature, water in the air, wind, and sunlight. 

 

Three Parts of WBGT 

Wet-bulb temperature: Measures how water evaporates. This shows how sweat cools the body. It handles humidity. 

Black globe temperature: Uses a black sphere to measure radiant heat from the sun. 

Dry-bulb temperature: Measures standard air temperature in the shade. 

Why WBGT Matters 

It is more accurate than a standard heat index for people working or playing in direct sun. 

Schools, sports leagues, and the military use it to plan safe water breaks or cancel outdoor events. 

It helps prevent dangerous conditions like heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Ty-Anthony seems to really love being a longhorn… was his recent absence really due to the flu outbreak? Would hate to see his passion for the longhorns waiver. Seems like a great kid.
