Unless Lubbock suddenly turned green and got tall pine trees. It’s not close.  Buford is also right outside of ATL. Lubbock is near nothing.

Some say it makes it easier for him to graduate there in December. Who knows but he can get NIL $ in Georgia now unlike Texas. So that probably came into play.

Plus the UIL would never let him transfer in Texas to help with the December graduation. In Georgia all you have to do is actually live in the zone, no waiting. So I'm sure they got them a place there ready to move in ha!

Nothing like leaving your team of 3+ years a week before the season begins, after already playing in a scrimmage
