To what? 

Maybe LB behind Spence for depth, which makes sense. Not sure if that's true or not.

Not necessarily, but he does lacks speed for LB.

Might be valuable at LB on obvious rushing situations, he could probably fill gaps solidly once he identifies them.

But hard to see him being able to cover a RB out of the backfield since he probably lacks speed and lateral movement.  A good OC would identify him immediately as a weak link and isolate him on a shifty RB and it would probably not be pretty.

He seems buried at EDGE behind younger guys like Jackson, Zina, maybe Wesley so might as well find a spot he can contribute at in certain situations.

Not his ideal position, but the depth is needed and I think he’d get more chances to see the field there. Perhaps they just cross train him to play sam in certain scenarios.

I don’t think Atkinson is near ready. It’s asking a lot of Cummings at this point physically. Okpala is the only freshman ready to roll.
