First, my apologies on just now posting this. I started this morning and then got sidetracked. 🤦‍♂️

We’re officially ONE WEEK away from Texas Football.

Today we look at the best Longhorns to wear No. 7:

1. Michael Huff: 318 tackles, 7 INT, 2005 Jim Thorpe Award, unanimous All-American, National Champion and College Football Hall of Famer.

2. Jahdae Barron: 227 tackles, 8 INT, 2024 Jim Thorpe Award winner and consensus All-American.

3. Deon Beasley: 99 tackles, 18 PBUs and 3 INT across 45 games at Texas.

4. Caden Sterns: 172 tackles, 5 INT, Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-American.

Two Thorpe Award winners headline a pretty dang good group of No. 7s.

Huff is a top 3 Texas Defender of all time. 

 

DJ is probably a lock at one.the. You have a bunch of dudes like Rak, Huff, Jammer, Vasher, Barron (probably in that order) fighting to be top 5

Jadhae Barron was a great player for us. That TCU game in 2022 was a teaching clinic on how to play the nickel position
