Moderators Popular Post Gerry Hamilton Posted 5 hours ago Moderators Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago Derrek Cooper Update The latest on the freshman running back headed into the day. Cooper was on the field for practice Tuesday, but very limited. The training staff had him doing some light jogging on Tuesday. Cooper is doing everything he can to try and be available for the game Saturday. Cooper's availability for Ohio State remains up in the air. OTF will provide an update later today if there is one. 49 1 2 Quote

AJJ_Sports Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If it’s a high ankle sprain why don’t we just rest him and try to get him as healthy as possible for sec play ? 1 1 Quote

Guts Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago This is great news. He will be back sooner rather than later it seems. Quote
ShinerRyan Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I hope he plays but even if he doesn't, I like that that he's out there a little. Any word on who the 3rd back is if he doesn't play? Simon looked the best of the backups to me. Quote

TTown Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Noticed you said yesterday his family may not come now. Whether he plays or not hope his family decides to come anyway. I totally understand if not, hey people have jobs and stuff lol. But just for the atmosphere it would still be a great trip. Quote

I said "several people close to Cooper". Those people are rescheduling to another game later in the season after the injury and unknown status. I don't know if his mom is attending. Haven't seen here miss anything before! 4 Quote

jkates Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Sounds like the injury is not too sever, which is good news. Trust the training staff to do the right thing by him. Quote

4thandFive Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Watch him play and be the inside burst we need for goal-to-go scenarios and push us over the top… Quote
nicray0920 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 3 weeks ago the world was ending with Goosby getting knicked up. Lets wait and see how this plays out he could be at 70-80% and the staff is just taking the necessary precautions for Cooper 1 Quote
Red Five Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Really great news. Figured we were looking at Texas/OU as the return date for him. 2 Quote

You can have a Grade 1/low-grade high ankle sprain and gut through after a week or two. That's a stable ankle and not painful walking a lot of times. Straight forward movement can be okay after about a week, but it comes down to plant and COD cut Grade 1/low-grade high ankle sprains can be 1-3 weeks depending on healing. 2 Quote

I'd say keep him out until OU, but I also said keep Goosby out for Tx State and he played a good portion of the game lol. Would be awesome to have Cooper for OSU if he can be effective. Quote

Alex Butler Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago When he came off he was jogging and didn’t look too bad. We know sark is very cautious with injuries so I’m hoping he’ll get back out against UTSA and get some real work in before TN. We’re gonna need all hands on deck for that one to be sure! Quote
