I agree with this take a lot more than the easy finger pointing that I see from a lot of fans.
I saw some things today that just lead me to believe there's issues in coaching when it comes to the offense.
Play calling was suspect at times too.
I get that we couldn't really run the ball but those were the best play calls that Sark had if we couldn't run the ball? It's a serious problem that any Sark offense becomes COMPLETELY putrid any time there's problems running the ball. Any team that can make Texas one dimensional will win on defense cause Sark has no answers.
Obviously not all is on Sark... it never falls on just one person but there's serious issue IMO when it comes to coaching on both special teams and offense.

We need to practice from here on out is a two step drop and get the ball out.  No more time to make 3 reads before you throw. 
 

I hate to say it but something with Arch and Sark just doesn’t seem to click.  Idk if he just doesn’t have enough time or is getting hit too much that he can’t get settled in but Arch is a good QB but he’s not a Heisman candidate type QB.  He’ll go and I’m sure have a great pro career but it is what it is going to be now.  Each week we hope this is the week where we see 4 quarters put together but it never happens. The last 4 quarter game I remember was against Oklahoma State in the Big 12 championship and I think we were just that much better than them.  It just never seems to happen

Not that I disagree with some of the takes. This offense has certainly been disappointing with far too many mistakes, missed reads, and self-inflicted penalties. But, this thread reads like the team is 0-4 and Charlie Strong level bad.

I am not sure what the eff happened between the final whistle against OSU and the last 8 quarters of play, but Sarkisian has not done a great job with this team. Luckily we are 4-0, with everything left to play for and two weeks to prepare for what we will a very wounded OU team that will only be playing to ruin our season. Sarkisian needs to get this crap under control and figure out how to attack teams that are going to blitz the eff out of the running game to set up negative plays. Manning is lost again right now, as he's not a pocket passer.

No matter what happens this season, Sarkisian really needs to move on from Flood, Banks, and Milwee. The OL was trash again today, STs are again awful under Banks, and we've had 6 seasons of Ewers/Manning not improving a single inch at the QB position. You'd think a guy like Sarkisian that has had everything taken from him, would figure out that he can't be prideful with his offense. Manning needs help and Sarkisian continues to throw everything on his plate.

That said, Sarkisian's decision to hire Muschamp has saved this season, they would 2-2 right now with Kwiatowski's defense. That is what is so disappointing with his failure to move on from the offensive coaches that are under delivering results, because he was able to do the exact opposite with the defense.

Like @Gerry Hamilton said, be happy about 4-0 ,but it’s also fine to have concerns about it being year 6 and the stupidness is still the same.

Our offense thru 4 games in Charlie's last year was significantly better than our offense now ironically

The offense was average. We didn’t need them to be good. Just efficient. Which is exactly what we did whenever we are down our best running back, down our best WR, for almost an entire half, and playing a Jim Knowles defense

I'm so confused by this. we are thrilled by being 4-0. But good God almighty with have major issues with a 50/50 brain dead QB, receivers that forget how to catch , line that looks pedestrian at best and a phenomenal defensive guy that like to whip his imaginary d*ck out and pee on people. Oh my God the head coach/offensive coordinator is lost in his own mind 75% of the time

Only thing I will say is Texas was NOT efficient today. 

Texas has literally played 3.5 quarters of quality offensive football out of the last 12.

Buddy if that was average then is bad us taking a safety or a pick 6 every offensive snap?! This is a team whose OC is the HC in year 6! Outside of 2 drives there was NOTHING efficient or good about it.

This offense as of September 26th is not good. Doesn’t mean it won’t be good, doesn’t mean Texas can’t win a bunch of games. 
 

It’s not either/or. Right now like we can be happy to be 4-0 and know there has to be improvement or the 1 is coming soon.
