Could be.  Jackson needs to replicate this effort as we haven’t seen it consistently to date.  He has certainly had a limited number of games to date to prove that consistency though.

I feel like this team under Sark knows how much better they are than other teams, and so they coast a bit instead of beating their ass even harder. That’s my one fear about this game: complacency. I think we are going to see OU on film and know that they are gonna be in for an ass whoopin. The two factors that make me think we keep up the intensity are: (1) Muschamp is going to breathe fire into his defense, so I have a hard time seeing them letting up against Mateer, and (2) there has been a lot of smoke about the OU locker room starting to splinter. The bottom might fall out from under them if they get hit in the mouth.

TBF, Jackson has been tasked to do alot of the dirty work. Certainly last year. I could be wrong, but it feels like he's played far more of a traditional edge this year than last.

I will say this, I like to watch Ikard's podcast because I do enjoy football analysis quite a bit (and him talking about how bad OU's offense is), he's not like a "blow smoke" guy.

Listening to Lunch with the coach right now. Pretty bad reflection on Sark as a OC. To me he’s having trouble managing the offense and not doing a good job coaching Arch. We’re my thoughts as well, when former coaches are confirming it, says a lot.

But they hate us and will likely come out against us fully focused, angry and embarrassed, with a few tricks up their sleeves. 
 

if we are overconfident or caught looking ahead to Florida and LSU or a little flat - well it’s hard to imagine us losing but it will take longer to finish them off. 
 

Us old timers remember big games we should have won and didn’t.  My worst memory as a fan was the year we went undefeated in the regular season, ranked unanimous # 1, had the Heisman and Outland Trophy winners plus Coach of the Year. Sports Illustrated posed the question “Is Texas the best college team ever?”

We ate the rat poison and came out flat, fumbled several times and got crushed in the Cotton Bowl.

That could be.  I don’t delve into that component too much regarding scheme and what he’s asked to do.  My opinion comes from straight pass sets that he doesn’t have much impact.  They bumped him inside some without much impact. I’ve looked at it as he’s a young, inexperienced guy that we don’t know who he is just yet.

Just looked up his alignments.  Last year he was outside the Tackle 75% of the time, this year around 56%.  Last year Bgap was around 14%, this year 10%.  He’s spent more time over the Tackle this year.

That seems about right. Plus like you said, he's getting far more opportunity this year.

This has not been an issue with Sark. FANS might be looking ahead, but under Sark, red River has been a FOCUS every year.
