I think they put out a great defensive blueprint for causing issues. Play man on the back end and blitz the middle of the OL, with guys coming from the nickel/slot. It worked well and others have mirrored. 1 Quote
rgvhorn80 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Will Sark be forced to hire an OC in the offseason if the Longhorns don’t make the playoffs? Quote

There will be some tough conversations to be had if Texas fails to make the CFP. Of which, I am sure the OC conversation will be had. Quote
Roy Hinojosa Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'm seeing all kinds of rumors on X that if Sark loses this game on Saturday that he will be fired. What are the chances that happens? Quote

Sark insisted to the people having the conversation that it was because he had to focus on the defense which took away from his oversight of the offense. Which is why PK was let go and why that actually happened. Those who were part of those conversations aren't happy at all with what they've seen from the offense given the assurances that were presented by Sark. 1 Quote

I don't know GJ well enough to make a determination on that. It's tough to leave a program that his constructed itself around you as the face, to go be fixer on someone else's staff – especially on your own accord. So I would lean pretty unlikely. But again, I don't know Kinne all that well. Quote

NTX_Horn Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago How disappointed are you guys in the running backs? This offense stinks. These are total yards and tds. Baxter - 546yds 5.8 ypc 8tds Wisner - 355yds 7.1 ypc 1td Smothers - 368 yds 4.9 ypc 3tds Raleek - 293 yds 4.1 ypc 5tds Quote

garythesnail Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 2 questions 1. If Sark is to be let go at the end of the season, would it be a rebuild type of regime change or would we be able to be competitive day one? 2. Random, but does anyone have a good idea of when the Arky game will kick off? Will there be a drone show despite the earlier flex designation? Quote

Just know it's a flex and time between 2:30 and 3:30 that afternoon. I would guess there would be a drone show with the time change and being dark. Plus last home game of the year. Because we are definitely not hosting a playoff game the way we look now. Quote

Well at least now everyone can see that was bs. I was calling that out during the off-season. Quote

Also is there a way where Texas runs the table, gets into the SEC championship game but loses. Could they still make the playoffs as a three loss team? I know it’s a stretch for that to happen but this season has been crazy so far. The Holly curse! Quote
lafrwf Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Who thinks a guy that grew up watching his uncles and grandfather play a position he plays didn’t learn anything along the way. Arch has probably watched more tape than anyone on the team and even more than some coaches. I have to believe he can read a defense. Sark said they don’t let him audible. Last year he was able to get to his second and third read. Why doesn’t Sark let him play? It can’t be worse than what we’re seeing now. Quote
DanielOnorato Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Start KJ Lacey this Saturday and you get folded and your season is completely ended. Do you say we should have given Arch one more start before completely piling on or do you ride Lacey the rest of the year? Quote
ChanmanV Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago (edited) After watching Todd McShay talking about Arch on his podcast, it made wonder a few things. Gerry/CJ, have these issues (inability to make reads, slow decisions) with Arch been prevalent this entire time (even last year), but we've been distracted by a few big runs? He's gotten a lot of credit for "NFL throws" but in reality were questionable decisions into double coverage a number of times this year and even late last year. The way McShay put is Sark has been hiding this (or lying in his words) from the public/media for a while now. Any validity to this? Edited 50 minutes ago by ChanmanV Quote
