Luka/Dallas Mavs

Anyone expect Dallas to make this much noise? I know I didn’t, but glad it’s happening. 

Luka stunned the Timberwolves tonight with the game winning 3. Mavs lead the series 2-0.

Luka is getting better each year, most evident is the improvement of his whole game including his defense which formerly was the glaring knock on his game (and still is but he has come a long way).  This guy is as good an offensive player as I have seen when you take into account his passing.  He is only 25 and looks like one of the old school legends.  They have the pieces around him now to contend for it all. The Mavericks have been the best defensive team the last third of the season with their trade deadline additions.

I am amazed Kyrie has been normal. He’s one of the best to ever do it, but he has been so erratic I didn’t think any team could count on him. He and Luka work perfect together. Each lets the other takeover when they need too. They compliment each other perfectly.

Getting Luka to play defense has been good to see. He is becoming a complete player. His offensive production has always been there.

Mavs are elite. I’ve been watching them religiously since I was a kid. After the trade this team absolutely started clicking on both ends. So much fun to watch and only one game away from the finals.

DFW sports are on a tear rn.  The Rangers won the world series last season.  Mavs and Stars about to play for the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals, respectively.  All that's missing is FC Dallas and of course the Cowboys...
