Florida plans to keep Napier...

Recommended Posts

There wasn't a guarantee that he would be back next year, just that he's the guy "going forward." Sounds like a statement made for recruiting this year. That said, unless they simply collapse in November, they're probably better with Napier unless they have a sure thing lined up, and there are very, very few sure things.

CDC’s support for Herman read a lot like this

That’s exactly what I thought!! They’re not just going to fire the guy without the next guy in the bag. See previous TAMU and Texas coaching debacles. They’re just gathering the evidence they need to minimize the buyout. Herman handed that to us on a silver platter, because he’s an arrogant narcissistic a-hole. Napier might be tougher than Tommy, he’s just not ready for the UF job.

They have been better than most expected. And let’s be honest , if Texas dealt with the amount of injuries Florida has dealt with, we wouldn’t be sitting where we are. Injuries are out of the coaches control, and it’s not like they’ve been blown out. They’ve been competitive in every game they’ve played

Not sure why this is a topic lol must be pretty bored 🥱

Well over the summer there were predictions he wouldn’t even be the Florida coach for the game this weekend.

Anyway, I agree not a huge vote of confidence from the Florida admins.

not really?

Miami 41-17

TAMU 33-20

This is Napier's third year. It's the University of Florida.

Those are bad losses at home in your third year.

Interested in hearing @Gerry Hamilton’s opinion on this decision because Florida’s recruiting right now is not good at all and I can’t imagine the 2026 class will be much better.

Florida has an interim president. I think once they get a permanent university president Stricklin will be shown the door and a new AD will be brought in and a new FB HC will be hired by that AD.
