I don’t think that’s entirely fair. His stats last year were very Bill Norton-ish. And he’s definitely more of a clog the gaps / occupy space / demand double teams kind of player. Possibly not fair, but I don't think Norton was a very highly touted 5 star like Shaw was and after three seasons Shaw's numbers look like someone that plays part time. I don't think that UNC's defensive line is so fantastic that Shaw doesn't play much for that reason. If he can play a Norton type role here then that would be more than satisfactory.
