Joe Zura Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I feel bad for manning. Quinn had it ban with this fan base. Manning will have it 1000 times worse 4 2 Quote
texerson Posted January 14 Posted January 14 The magnitude to which the expectations this kid is supposed to succeed is borderline ridiculous... 4 Quote
goattalk100 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Also, Jeremiah Smith at +1200 seems like good value Quote

Manning will have it 1000 times worse Maybe it was the H.S. recruiting numbers or the hype for Quinn coming out of H.S. but I just expected more from him. I think he was a very serviceable QB but multiple things were missing that there was not much growth on season to season and I am not a professional talent scout but the things he was not great at in college will show even more in the pros IMO. Arch has a name to live up to and thats rough. He showed well in the games he started..Lets see if he can grow from it. Lets see what and where our OL is too. Quinn had the best OL in a decade infront of him..With a top 5 LT.. and in 2024 an all star WR room..so I feel the expectations were high. 2 Quote

GetHooked Posted January 14 Posted January 14 With the hype the way it is, it seems like he could declare for the draft and be selected 1st in the 1st round THIS YEAR. SMH. 2 Quote

Manning will win a Heisman in 1 of the next 2 years, that's not a stretch at all. The kid is a playmaker where as Quinn is at best could be considered a game manager although that might be a stretch. 2 Quote
uthorn1374 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Manning will be the first back-to-back Heisman, SEC Championship, and National Championship winner. Edited January 14 by uthorn1374 5 3 Quote
Hank Kingsley Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Embrace the expectations and hype. The kid is ready to roll. 1 Quote
Hookem72 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 With the way the media is, Arch will win the Heisman. He does three things Quinn could not do: Quick release accurate deep ball: ability to throw over the middle due to his height and higher release point: and 3 keep plays alive. He will have better numbers than Cam Ward. Hunter proves that hype wins Heismans. His last name is Manning. The kid has had scrutiny on him since he was a middle schooler. He shows up at Fiji frat parties and doesn’t drink to help his brother out. The kid has seen the blueprint from his grandfather and uncles. Is he the next Joe Burrow? We don’t know but he doesn’t have to be. He just has to not get hurt and not completely flame out. With as turnover prone as Quinn was there is no way Arch will get yanked. You saw him last spring in spring practice light up what we now know was one of the best secondaries in college football. You saw the crazy playmaking when Quinn was hurt. Did he make some dumb decisions? Yes, but he will learn from them. He is legit. 1 Quote
TexasMDcoach Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Arch has his head on well and I suspect will tune this out and just play. The accolades will take care of themselves in time. Quote
Glass Joe Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I’ll take Garrett Nuussmeier over all others on that list (+1200). Look at the skill position talent he will have around him next season: WR: A.Anderson, Nic Anderson, Barion Brown, Zavion Thomas, Chris Hilton TE: TreyDez Green RB: Caden Durham That is a collection of elite athletes. You can take four guys off the list above, and beat half the D1 men’s 4x100 relay teams. Quote
ArizonaLonghorn Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Arch is as good a guess as any, but seriously, how often does the preseason favorite actually win the Heisman? The last ten years or so it seems maybe half the time someone not even in the early top 5 comes out of nowhere to win as the preseason fav fades (Hunter, Daniels, Smith, Burrow etc). Here are the 2024 preseason favorites, in order Dillon Gabriel, Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, Jalen Milroe, Jaxson Dart, Will Howard, Nico Iamaleava, Nussmeir, Cam Ward, Riley Leonard. _everyoneshere Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Reaching that far for Beck to win is going to wreck his throwing arm again. Going to throw down a defensive wild card in Colin Simmons to climb into the top 10 or higher if he can double his production. At least deserves to have his name in the running the next 2 years.
