We'll replace him at the end of the year in all likelihood, but firing him now just means Frank Haith becomes interim coach, and he's the guy who is already directing the offense, so what have you gained? Nothing. Either that, or you bring in an outsider, and nearly everybody quits, and we wind up playing walk-ons for the rest of the year. And there probably isn't a coach out there who is thinking of moving up who isn't waiting to see what happens in Austin before agreeing to a new job, so there is no reason to pull the plug until the season is over. 3 Quote

I know your entire fandom is built around bad takes and kneejerk reactions, but CDC is actually going to wait 2 weeks for the season to end like a normal person because contrary to what you believe there is very little accomplished from pulling the plug 14 days before the season ends for a team that may or may not be playing in the postseason. 2 1 Quote
Matthew Toming Posted February 26 Posted February 26 What's Chris Ogden's future looking like? Not totally sure what his role is in the program. Quote
HookemHorns Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Hope they surprise me, but I’m expecting a relatively comfortable loss Quote
TTaylor2135 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Given Texas falls behind 15+ in half their SEC games, this bet seems too easy.. then they’ll lose by 7 to make it seem like a close game lol. 2 1 Quote

I suspect it isn't looking too sharp. Part of the problem with the current team is misfit-toyitis, and if he really is the recruiting coordinator as part of his general managing role, then he has to take some of the responsibility for this. But if we are moving on from Terry, and I suspect it is likely that we will, then I think Haith and Ogden will also be shown the door, and the Rick Barnes assistant era will come to an end at Texas. 817 Boxing B Posted February 26 Posted February 26 RT... pick somewhere nice and warm and don't even sit down with CDC. When he walks in.. walk right past him with your stuff in that brown box and don't look back. The band-aid stickum (this fan base and university) is gone. This is what you get for being there for someone when they need you. 🤘🏿 Quote

My cousin Al Dillard wasn't so bad off that bench, either. I always thought he was a better shooter than my favorite player, Scottie T. Quote
