Why is anybody even considering "if" Beard came back? He's not. He was the perfect choice at the time, what hapenned hapenned and here we are. I was just wondering has anyone heard if they are still together? Quote

Yes, the guy who publicly said in a press conference that everyone on the team was giving up something for 4 months as a sacrifice for the season and he was giving up beer. I'm sure that guy doesn't drink. You nailed it. https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3390021/its-time-to-go-all-in-on-texas-basketball-after-chris-beard-said-hes-giving-up-beer-this-season-as-part-of-team-sacrifice Edited March 2 by Assistant Regional Manager Quote

Glorious Bastard Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Beard is a friend. Not sure he wants any new job badly or were that came from. Letting him go for next to nothing and zero charges just once again shows Horns aren't serious about men.s basketball. CDC got holier than thou and sent set the program back 5 years atleast. Terry is a decent assistant coach for a top 25 team but damn sure not a head coach. He did to finish out the season with Beard's players and scheme. Only hope is to hire the coach of whatever smaller program lights it up in a couple weeks. 3 Quote

Your friend deserves Ole Miss. 3 Quote

LECHorns Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Pretty coincidental that Worthy is arrested and immediately exonerated for charges almost identical to those of Beard on the exact day Beard’s replacement was effectively fired. Quote
LECHorns Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Quinn Snyder, Sean Miller, Royal Ivey Those would be my betting favorites. This opinion is fairly informed by someone very close to the epicenter of Texas Hoops. Quote
uthorn1374 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 (edited) Would Quinn Snyder be a better hire than Jay Wright? Edited March 9 by uthorn1374 Quote

Exactly. Xavier’s charges dismissed as well. Higher than nightly people jump to conclusions and won’t have their mind altered even though facts dictate they should. Quote

Snyder seems like a retread hire that has never been great anywhere he has been. Ivey would likley get the basketball alums on board, but I feel wary of giving his 1st head coaching job in this meat grinder of a conference. Quote
Jarveaux Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Based on the opinion everyone deserves a second chance. How about Chris Beard ? Quote

connorkp23 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 There’s very little doubt about what Beard did unless you’re willfully blind to it. Much more ambiguity remains regarding the Worthy case. Quote

bierce Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I would have hoped by now that everyone would have gotten past suggesting Beard, Wright, Self, Donovan, and a few others who obviously are not coming to Austin. 4 Quote
connorkp23 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 (edited) Here’s another difference between Worthy and Beard IF Worthy did any of what was alleged. Beard was in a job where his role was to be a leader of young men. As a player or a parent, I wouldn’t put much stock in anything he told me in the locker room or on the recruiting trail after that incident. He forfeited the right to tell players how to be good men and hurt his ability to do his job. Worthy on the other hand is a 21 year old kid in no position of leadership.
