TarrantCoHorn Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Man we’re so lucky to have Sark as our coach. Excellent in that interview as always. Quote
GoHorns1 Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 @thatdude2, thanks for posting. Just watching and listening you can see and hear the excitement Chris Simms for Texas football. Wish would recognize him for his accomplishments at a half time of a football game. 6 Quote

drag worm Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Seems long overdue that Simms shows up on the sidelines for a game. Put him on the Jumbotron and everyone clapping and cheering will be a healing situation for everyone involved. 2 Quote

TexasMDcoach Posted April 5, 2025 Posted April 5, 2025 Excellent job by Simms in asking good questions and getting out of the way to let the guy he is interviewing talk. The best know how to do this. 2 Quote

Hopefully, this is a step in getting Chris Simms back to campus for a game, at least. 7 Quote

I hate to pick at this scar/scab, but I never understood the vitriol towards Simms during his time on the 40. I do understand our fans were divided as to QB preference; MA vs CS, but I never understood why part of the pro-MA side could be so vitriolic towards CS. It just never made sense to me…just like the part of our base that rooted for Coach RT to lose. Unfathomable to me. 2 Quote

It was the bed wetter crowd who started with the good natured “limo” nickname Chris got and twisted it around. Then claimed Mack cut a deal with Phil Simms to curry favor with the NFL. And then sided with plucky Major at every turn, even though Chris was far popular with his teammates. 1 Quote

I could have a bad memory, but I don't recall MA receiving the same vitriol. But your post makes me rethink. Maybe MA received some of that also. Either way, hating on our own just doesn't sit well or make sense with me. 2 Quote
