Horns Wn Posted Wednesday at 02:47 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:47 PM (edited) Rori just tweeted (X’d) that she is coming back. That’s huge for next year’s team! Now, Coach Schaefer needs to get a couple of bigs and another shooter. Edited Wednesday at 02:49 PM by Horns Wn 15 2 Quote

HookemTexas Posted Wednesday at 03:04 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:04 PM And if she could also get a shot, or if she's got it, be more confident in taking it because SC just basically dared her to shoot every time they played. Her ability to drive is strong, but when they back off, it negates her effectiveness. 2 Quote
qaertyisthatdude Posted Wednesday at 03:07 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:07 PM Good, and I’m sure she’ll be even better next season now two years removed from her injury. If she adds a consistent 3 point shot to her game, it will take this team to the next level. 1 Quote

Their bigs are some of the best in the country....it will also be interesting to see how Staley adjust her style as well moving forward but as I stated when you bring in the talent she does downlow it allows you to get away with it more. Watching South Carolina blow us out 3 out of 4 times with the lone victory being a game we shot above our norm should be enough. Seeing UCONN offensively blow out that same South Carolina team should be enough. I have faith Vic can make the adjustments to our offensive to perform better....but we definitely need to increase our talent to compete with a South Carolina. 3 Quote

If missing out on Chavez and losing 3 out of 4 matchups against South Carolina this past season due to limitations of his roster offensively didn't do it, I don't know what will. I was rooting hard for Duke to hang on and beat South Carolina, because Texas would've matched up better with Duke and played for a natty. Even then, they probably wouldn't have beaten UConn for the same reasons they lost to South Carolina. Edited Wednesday at 03:31 PM by qaertyisthatdude 2 Quote
jkates Posted Wednesday at 03:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:33 PM Someone break out the Lamarcus Aldridge chair for Rori. She needs a jumper. 2 Quote

And the lone Texas win was on home court and squeaked it out in the final seconds. The SC wins were all over by mid 4th quarter at the latest. Reminds me of Aston's teams against Mulkey's Baylor Bears for years. Quote

If we could get a couple of real three-point threats for her to dish out to when she drives that would work as well. 3 1 Quote
TTown Posted Wednesday at 06:22 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:22 PM Gotta shoot better . If this causes Preston to get less time will she stay around ? I don't know , but she needs more minutes to use her quickness and athleticism imo. Losing Chavez to the offense Vic runs will bite us for years to come. Maybe now he realizes Offense matters!! Quote

Texas will use a lot of two-guard sets next year imo. Preston and Harmon played well together this year. Hopefully Crump can provide some scoring next to Booker and Lee as welll. Quote
