Former Top Recruit Johntay Cook Commits to ACC School in Transfer Portal - Cook is heading to Syracuse to play for Fran Brown in 2025.  (link to Sports Illustrated story)

Bit of a surprise.  Despite how things ended here I hope he gets his spit together, has a good year and perhaps hits the NFL draft next year.  (easier to say that when he's not going to one of our rivals 🙂 )

Hopefully he can stay out of the criminal justice system. He should be very humbled to have a third chance.

I’m sure he’s probably extremely sorry for his mistakes. He only hurt himself & his family. He needs a mentor. Hopefully Syracuse will be the place where he turns his life around.

Just because he left Texas.. doesn't mean he isn't FROM Texas. He's a young man that made some mistakes and we, as grown men, should be better about situations like these. I guess we won't crap all the way on Brooks until his second DUI? How about just hoping the best for him, in life, and in football, unless their on our schedule?
