AusMOJO Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Leavitt is pretty good, but I'm not sure he's all that. Struggles as a passer, won't have a great RB to take the edge off himself. I think the game with ASU was a lot closer than it probably should've been but we'll see how it goes. As for Klubnik, he had a rough start to his college career, but he's come a long quite a bit. We'll see how he goes this year. For Arch, I think the talent is obvious, even in the small sample sizes we saw. He'll have some lumps early on but now that he is the clear guy, he'll improve leaps and bounds, imo. I also agree with Gerry about Sellers, great QB but I'm not sure they have the guys around him to maximize his talent. Which would be unfortunate. 2 Quote
Jarveaux Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I believe Josh Pate is a very good podcaster. Visits all the coaches . Very knowledgeable. Not as knowledgeable as Bobby Burton. But he will be when he’s Bobby’s age . 1 Quote

I had Klubnik rated as the top prospect in 2022 in my own personal rankings. I had AntHill as #1 in 2023. Klubnik showed me he could be great from the get. Like Brees, Klubnik had some WR clowns that first year, but now he got some good ones to throw to. I disagree with Bobby, I think he will be the #1 pick in the 2026 draft, barring injuries, of course. See how the off season works? Just a bunch of speculation because that's all we have! lol Edited May 25 by taxsaver 1 Quote

You may or may not be . 1 Quote

Leavitt came into the game claiming he was the best. Guy's a chump. He didn't make any great throws in that game. Quinn made one mistake in that game. Quinn made three great throws in a row in that game. All discontinuous and all under the most dire of circumstances. And we got supposedly Texas faithful blowing up Leavitt. With friends like that, you don't need enemies. We are talking about next year QBs. Focus. Because someone says another QB will be considered a top QB for 2025, they are an enemy? Doesn’t correlate, buddy. And Sam Leavitt was a freshman and first year starter, we are predicting trajectory here, he had way better first year stats than Quinn if you’re measuring. Again, Quinn is gone, and we are talking 2025, so not measuring. Edited May 25 by Austalgia 1 Quote

If he has another great year, I could also potentially see him going #1. Depends on who needs a QB in the next draft and what you're willing to trade, etc. 1 Quote

Considering how the Longhorns Defense turned Joel Klatt into a greasy spot on the turf... I think he's pretty fair in his analysis and comments on Texas football. Hook 'Em! 1 Quote

harveycmd Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Gerry said Texas couldn't stop Jeremiah Smith without playing press man. One catch for three yards. No press man. Played one corner with a safety over the top. Don't think Smith is the greatest receiver ever. Quote

harveycmd Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago True, but it doesn't change the statement. Jahdae didn't follow Smith. Man on man Jahdae would have shut down goober. Didn't have to do that. Not Deion against Randy Moss. Moss won against Deion by the way. Quote
harveycmd Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Moss best outside receiver in the history of football. Couldn't stop him in man. Deion best man cover corner ever. Got smoked. Like Kobe against the Spurs one on one. Reason the pansies literally changed the rules. Quote
