Bobby Burton Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM I hear what you’re saying, but… Don’t expect him to be full go until September, if then. 9 2 Quote
syracusehorn Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM I think this is wishful thinking. It wouldn't surprise me if Baxter missed the whole year. His injury was really bad, and his rehab will be at least 14 months. Maybe he plays in November/December if we're in contention for a championship. 1 1 Quote

He's currently a full participant in 7 on 7, on June 13. Almost three months before our first game. 1 Quote

The larger point is that he has been cleared by our medical staff. In June. So, I don't think we need to be worried about Baxter missing the entire season that starts in three months. 2 Quote

It's already been 10.5 months since the injury. 3.5 months more would be October 1st Quote

He's on track if he's doing a little work with basic agility. But that part takes a while too. I've been through this process myself twice (with ACLs) and did a LOT of reading about rehab. Baxter didn't just have an ACL tear, though. He tore both the ACL and PCL. I don't know for sure, but he likely had some meniscus damage and maybe even bone damage. It was a bad injury. Report from SI on surgery 1 Quote

If CJ is ramping up through first half of season and full strength by Georgia, our RB room could be real strength going into the playoffs. hook em!! 🧡🐂🤘🏼 Quote

Report from SI on surgery I believe it was the lateral collateral ligament (also called tibial collateral ligament), not the PCL, that was surgically repaired Quote
